"You would need to be the circus magician to make this work" Rachel Hill
03 November 2016
First attempt cakes were half cooked, second time burnt on one side. The issue appears to be that there is a vent hole in each cake to push a cocktail stick through - if it comes out clean, its cooked. Alas on several of the cakes the vent hole is not where the thickest part is AND if you push it all the way in you are risking damaging the mould. Also, each cake appears to be twice the size of a cupcake - so for a 12 mix cake recipe you can fill this mould, which is fine, but that lengthens the cooking time even more so it's even harder to tell how long you need to keep them in the oven.
A note from the team
Thank you for placing your review. I'm sorry to hear of your experience. You could try covering the moulds with greaseproof paper halfway through the bake, to avoid them burning - I'll be in touch shortly.
