Nielsen Massey put the utmost care and attention into the process of creating their vanilla extract – and it shows in its intense depth of flavour and aroma. Every carefully selected vanilla pod is hand-sorted to ensure that every single bean is of the best quality, and only then does the lengthy process of cold extraction begin. Taking place over not just days, but weeks, it involves careful pressing and precise temperature regulation to ensure that all 300 of the distinctive, delicate flavour compounds are perfectly preserved.
This new blend, created exclusively for Lakeland by Nielsen Massey, mixes sweet and creamy mellow Madagascan vanilla with the spicy, woody warmth of the best Mexican vanilla beans. Not just for sweet things, it brings flavoursome magic to barbecue sauces and salsas as well as ice cream, chocolates and cakes.
