This mat is so brilliant I also bought my friend one. I've had mine since last summer. I use it for spreading bread, all necessary chopping - and because it's flexible, if you lift the sides up slightly it's easy to transfer your veggies etc to your pan. I do actually have a few small cuts in it, but they're hardly noticeable; and it's easily cleaned between foods, with anti bac spray; and when you're done using it, it can be sink washed or put in the dish washer. I've not used it for rolling out pastry yet, but I'm sure I'll get round to it.
