  • Lakeland 1lb (450g) Loaf Tin

Easily make a 1lb (450g) loaf that rises perfectly and turns out easily with our superb quality non-stick tin.

    Quality

Because it’s made from 1mm thick carbon steel – thicker than many others you can buy – its durability, with no twisting, warping or bending, will see you through many a baking session. Add in the two layers of Quantum 2 professional non-stick, and you won’t have to worry about leaving half your loaf in the tin when try to turn it out either.

    Performance

To ensure your loaf rises to fill the tin, we’ve added handy fill lines so you know exactly how much dough to put in. Oven safe up to 240°C and with even heat distribution ensuring your bread will be cooked through to perfection, the generously sized handles with sure-grip silicone inserts make getting it in and out of the oven simple too. And, when you’re done, the tin can go straight in the dishwasher.

Liners to fit this tin are available here.

    No rolled edges

The rolled edges found on most bakeware introduce a difficult-to-dry space underneath the rim, and the edges themselves can be difficult to coat. We decided to leave the edges of out bakeware unrolled, removing the risk of water traps and uncoated carbon steel edges that might rust – making them completely dishwasher safe.

    About the Lakeland Ovenware Range

We spent two years obsessing over every detail of our Lakeland Ovenware Range to make every piece the best it can be. Made from 1mm thick carbon steel, which is thicker than most you can buy, many same-sized pieces nest inside each other and differently sized items can also be stacked to save valuable cupboard space. Sure-grip handles make them easy to lift and a double layer of Quantum 2 professional non-stick provides superior food release. Every piece is also completely dishwasher safe, and many of the baking tins come with handy fill and sizing guides.

Supermarket versions might be slightly cheaper but they cannot compare with the exceptional quality and performance of this professional gauge range – and with more than 50 pieces available, they cannot compete with the variety either.

    24.5 x 10 x 5.5cm H. (including handles).

"Excellent quality but not deep enough"

The quality of these tins is outstanding, with loaves falling free & no residue whatsoever. But... ...they're too shallow & too narrow. My standard loaf mix for my old loaf tins overtops these way before the loaves are fully risen. Changing the quantities used cures the problem of overtopping but the result is a rather oddly shaped loaf. Perhaps I'll reserve these for other uses & try & find more "traditional" sized tins for my loaves.

Thank you for placing your review and for taking the time to speak to us today. We're sorry to hear you'd been disappointed with the size of the tin and we've passed your suggestion on to our Buyers.

    "Non-stick coating"

Initially I was delighted with the quality, heat transference and excellent non-stick quality of these loaf tins. I have 8 mini tins and three 450g and one 900g. Until recently nothing would stick to these tins but now I have two minis and one 450g tin that stick even ordinary white bread. No amount of cleaning seems to return them to their original performance. Do you have any advice on how I can make them non-stick again? I have tried greasing with butter and oil before baking but this doesn't work either.

    A note from the team

Thank you for placing your review. We're sorry the loaf tin has proved faulty but pleased our customer service colleagues were able to help when you contacted us.

    "top quality but too small"

As with all Lakeland products these tins are excellent quality. I received a couple from my wife for Xmas. BUT - this particular tin is too small - it is VERY shallow and resultant loaves are similarly tiny. It does not make a decent-sized loaf. I have been bread making for many years and use at least 1lb of flour to make my dough good-sized loaves. With these tins, this amount of dough quickly overflows. I found that 12 oz of flour was the max possible. For us, this is not fit for purpose. If I had receipts I would probably return them, or exchange for the 2lb tins.

    A note from the team

Thank you for placing your review. We're sorry to hear it doesn't suit and we'll be in touch shortly.
