Zyliss® Easy Peel Garlic Press
It took me a while to decide to spend this much on a garlic press but I am so glad I did, it is superb. Nothing is wasted, just the skin is left. Very efficient!

Wish I had bought one of these years ago, no more fiddling trying to peel cloves and no more garlic smelling fingers! I love it!

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I can not get this to work. Excellent for a peeled clove but I am not strong enough to use with the skin on!

“In pieces

This garlic press has the right idea, but like all garlic presses, the paint is coming off, and it doesn't matter, cos the pin keeps falling out and the press is now in pieces. I am tired of putting it together, for it to fall apart again within three uses.

I don't mind the press but the non stick cleaner is awful its only plastic so bends and does not get into the holes to push the garlic out so all you end up with is a garlic press like most others but for 3 times the price save money its not worth it!!

No waste, no smelly hands and only minute bits of skin sometimes get through. No problems with the paint or pin as yet but we handwash it anyway as the cleaning gadget makes it so easy. By far the best garlic crusher I've ever used.

Does exactly what it says on the tin! Have to use both hands to push the press down but it's not difficult at all. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I used my Zyliss Garlic press for the first time this morning and it is brilliant. I love it, I can't believe how there is no need to peel the clove first, so useful and no more garlicky fingers. My last press was so old it kinda flattened the clove against the holes and hardly any garlic, if any, was getting through, with this press however every bit gets through, even with really small cloves. Brilliant, everyone should have one in their kitchen, it's worth every penny.

I love this thing. After a succession of garlic presses that were too flimsy and that wasted about two-thirds of each clove, at last something properly robust and engineered to squash out every last bit of garlic!

I use garlic several times a week and this makes life so much easier. It is solid construction and easy to clean, and let's face it, that's really all we want from these things.

Great gadget does what it says on the tin, just a shame the pin falls out every time I wash it. After one phone call to report this issue Lakeland have promised to replace this for me, great customer service. Christine.

I love my garlic press, but you do need a huge amount of strength in your hands to crush the cloves. If you're not strong, then I'd suggest the sort of press which needs the garlic peeling first. Also, although I stick mine in the dishwasher (as it says you can), the silvery coating wears off quite quickly. The same happened with my old one, and the hinge pin came out (handy son replaced it) but because garlic is an essential ingredient, this is the best press I've found. Just not quite perfect, unfortunately!

“Well made, but.......

I got this item purely because I've seen it on tv and the fact that you didn't have to peel the clove. Errrr, you have to be pretty strong to crush the clove whilst it's still in it's skin. I've used it a couple of times now, but I have had to peel the clove first and its then a real pain to clean, so for me its a no, no. A tool to live in the back of the drawer :-(

I bought mine years ago from you, and have recently bought a replacement as it is so good! The first one had a bit of the silver paint come off it - but it was very well used so I am not complaining! Have just ordered one for a fellow garlic loving friend.

I purchased this to replace an old garlic press and liked the sound of not having to peel the cloves before pressing (one of my least favourite jobs in the world!). My partner was utterly sceptical when I told him what I had purchased...he is now eating his words! He claims it is the best kitchen utensil EVER and would have been happy to receive it as a Christmas present! Praise indeed. An excellent item and easy to clean.

“Silver coating is coming off

First the good part I like how it is quite light weight, don't have to peel the garlic first & easily works. Now sadly the bad it only took a few uses (just 4 times I used it!) before the coating started to peel. I put it in the dishwasher (top shelf) to clean not sure whether this is why but it did state dishwasher safe. Now I haven't used it for ages as worried to use it in-case it is harmful as silver coating is peeling off don't won't any of it to get into our food. Think I'll have to throw it away.
