This Lock & Lock Bread box is pretty good but if your wanting to put normal whole sliced or unsliced loaves in it you'll be disappointed. This box is too short for the bog standard sized loaf. It needs to be at least 6 to 8 inches longer. As many previous reviews have mentioned perhaps Lakeland could look into obtaining a larger standard sized loaf Lock & Lock container.
It does lock and seal well and keeps my loaf fresh for a good 6 days. However, to fit a normal loaf inside I have to remove it from the bag it comes in and stack inside this bread box two slices deep side by side.

I use this for bread and rolls when on holiday in our caravan. It keeps them fresh and I don't have to worry about crumbs in the cupboards.

I have a couple of the Lock and Lock boxes and they do what they say they do! Yes I've tested by filling with water and tipping up and down, not a drip. I actually bought this size to store cakes and they keep perfect freshness. Same for the smaller one I use for crackers. Brilliant. Interesting though that other reviews have said the box is not big enough for a loaf as I thought about buying another for that purpose, but might hold fire - reviews are most helpful thanks!
