Fun, sociable and easy to use, Uuni was invented by a passionate outdoor cook, Kristian Tapaninaho, who couldn’t find an affordable wood-fired oven anywhere. It had to be a premium, wood-fired oven that didn’t cost the earth, wasn’t too big and that could get you cooking in a short amount of time.
The Uuni 2S is super-fast to cook with, remarkably cheap in comparison to other wood-fired outdoor ovens and compact enough for even the smallest yard or garden. Fuelled by wood pellets, it heats to an amazing 500°C in just 10 minutes – the pizza stone inside soaks up the heat from the flames and then releases it into your food to give you crisp-crusted pizza in as little as 90 seconds – so the whole gang can be tucking into home-made, wood-fired pizza within minutes! And it’s not just for pizza… you can bake flat breads, roast vegetables, cook meat – including amazing steaks – fish and even desserts without having to leave the party.
Brilliantly designed, the foldaway legs stay cool so you can place the oven anywhere without worrying about scorching the surface, you can add the energy-dense oak pellets to the hopper without interrupting the cooking and, as they create very little ash there’s hardly any clean-up to do at the end. And, being so compact, it’s perfect for anyone whose outdoor space is restricted to a small backyard or handkerchief-sized balcony.
Every Uuni 2S Wood-Fired Oven comes with a complementary stainless steel pizza peel, but because a Uuni cooks so quickly – freshly-baked pizza in well under 2 minutes – you might find it handy to have a Spare peel standing by.
