Summer Salad Seed Roll
Roll up, roll up, get your salad here! An innovative way to grow your greens, the seed-impregnated roll is an all-in-one growing system with four rows of mixed salad seeds; just roll out onto the ground or raised bed, cover the edges with soil, water... and in a few weeks you’ll have a crop of fresh salad. The polythene film overlay protects the seeds from birds and, during germination, retains moisture and increases warmth, just like a greenhouse would. As seedlings grow, they push up the protective film to form a polytunnel; when you remove it, you’ll have a full and healthy salad garden! After use, the whole thing is compostable.
Varieties include red and green batavia, tango and cos lettuce. Includes six ground pegs and can be cut to fit smaller containers.

“Big Disappointment

Sorry, but this product has been a big disappointment. After several weeks only a few seeds tried to germinate but were trapped in the film and gave up the struggle. An expensive failure! Stick to sowing Salad Mix on compost in a recycled tomato container, after 4 weeks I am now harvesting my first crop for a fraction of the price of this product.

“No growth

I can only echo the previous reviews and say how disappointed I am in this product. Had 2 attempts to grow and no germination at all.

“So disappointed.

I bought the Summer Salad Seed Roll in late March / early April and I am so so disappointed with it. I have followed the instructions to the letter and I really hoped I would have a lovely crop of salad by now. However, 8 + weeks after planting, the film hasn't 'popped up', there are only a handful of teeny tiny seedlings and it looks like there is a row of seeds completely missing. It's a good idea but it hasn't worked for me.
