Sous vide cooking has long been popular in restaurants as it allows chefs to evenly cook the most tender meat, vegetables bursting with fresh flavour and fish that flakes at the touch of a fork… Helping you achieve the same results, the Lakeland Sous Vide Wand is incredibly easy to use, and works a little magic so anyone can cook amazing food with minimal effort.
How to Use
Clip the Sous Vide Wand onto a deep pan of water, turn the dial to set the time and temperature, wait for the beep that tells you to pop your vacuum packed food in, and leave it to do the rest! There’s no need to watch over the pan: the stainless steel wand gradually warms the water to the optimum temperature and regulates it with precision – within a tenth of a degree – so there’s absolutely no risk of spoiling your food. The most compact sous vide we’ve come across, it’s easy to use – even for beginners – and as it’s a similar size to a stick blender, it’s no bother to store.
Timer can be set up to 59 hours and 59 minutes, and the temperature up to 95°C. Recipes included.

I've had 3 of these now, the first was dead on arrival, the second was a warranty replacement for the first and died within a year to be replaced by my third which has now died about 18 months into its lifespan, the failure point was the same in all 3, the motor which circulates the water fails, meaning it heats up, but only the water inside the chamber of the wand. I only do sous-vide once or twice a month so I'm not a heavy user, I would expect the wand to last years with my usage pattern, at the moment I'm lucky if it makes it to a year old.

This is the second sous vide wand I have had from Lakeland, the first wand stop working after two weeks. This was kindly exchanged in the shop, but three months later and I’ve had the exact same issue with the power failing. Now in Covid crisis with no bath to cook with.

I got this online before Christmas 2019 I was so pleased for the first half dozen times, then...... It died..... switched off half way through the night during a 16 hour cook and had to throw away a huge joint that was being done for a dinner party. It would not restart at all. Returned to store and replaced, "no known issues with this product" was the statement. Used the new one once, great....... then next time it switched off after 30 minutes and won't switch on again!! It is being returned for a refund. Have to say customer service has been excellent but product is not.

Looked at sous vide wand for a while, bought it months ago and have been a little scared of it and not even opened the box! I finally got it out of the box, no problem with finding a big enough pan. Have made best ribeye steaks have ever cooked, eggs, carrots, still learning! Lots of online sites dedicated to recipes and little videos. Have even been making infused vodka and gin, done in a couple of hours...so far have made raspberry and rose, rhubarb and elderflower, orange and cinnamon. So easy to store too, this my best gadget and definetly worth purchasing!
