Sage The Custom Loaf Pro Bread Maker BBM800BSS
Product number: 31559
You can’t beat the aroma of freshly baked bread, and when it comes to baking the perfect loaf this bread machine makes it easy. The Custom Loaf Pro Bread Maker from Sage combines easy-to-use functionality with a number of smart features which make baking that perfect, crusty loaf straight-forward and stress-free.
9 Pre-Installed Smart Functions
The Custom Loaf Pro features 9 pre-set functions for different bread types, including white, whole wheat, gluten-free, crusty loaves, yeast-free breads or pizza and pasta dough. These are easily navigated using the intuitive ‘turn and confirm’ dial and large LED display on the top of the machine.
You can also adjust settings such as toggling between metric and imperial measurements, the shade of the crust and the size of the loaf. The Custom Loaf Pro offers four loaf sizes: 0.5kg, 0.75kg, 1kg, and 1.25kg, meaning you can just cook the bread you need, and not let it go to waste.
Built-In Delay Start Feature
If you want your bread freshly baked for when you wake up in the morning, the Custom Loaf Pro features a delayed start setting, letting you delay the start of the baking process for up to 13 hours, so it is ready for when you need it. You can even turn off the alarm, if you don’t want it to wake you up.
If you’re in more of a hurry, there is a rapid bake function which will have loaves ready in under 2 hours. The window on the top of the machine allows for checking the progress of your bake without opening the lid, while there is also a light which provides extra visibility.
Integrated Nut and Seed Dispenser
The Custom Loaf Pro also features an integrated nut and seed dispenser, which will automatically add extras to your bread at the right time of baking. It also comes with 2 different paddles, one for making jams and preserves, and a collapsible dough hook. Rather than leaving a big hole in the bottom of your loaf, the collapsible paddle turns 90° just at the end of the baking process, leaving your loaf with less of a hole on the bottom. The pause function also allows you to temporarily stop baking, if you want to add glazes or shape rolls, swirls or plaits.
If you want to experiment, the Custom Loaf Pro features a custom setting, giving you complete control to try different flavours and styles. You can even store these for future baking sessions.

We have had some excellent bread and rolls. The maker is easy to use and keep clean.
Large but light.Easy controls.Light so you can peek but not open lid.Quiet! I prefer to use the dough feature only.1.5 hrs later you have a container of amazing dough to make rolls, loaves etc.The key to fabulous bread is vital wheat gluten flour unless it’s basic white bread.Find recipes on Pinterest.I live in Canada and use the David’s killer bread recipe (copy of commercial bread recipe) FABULOUS! I have TWO of these machine, one was purchased second hand.I have a day of making pizza dough, loaves, rolls for freeze. Check out Redstar Yeast site for great recipes. If you love to bake buy it!
Have now got to grips with the machine at first I was using bread mixes, with disastrous brick like results have found that to achieve best results just use the recipes contained within the literature. Now the house is permanently filled with glorious smell of home baked bread every day the collapsible paddle is a godsend haven't bought a loaf in almost a month. Bread mixes work best on the rapid function.
I really love the bread maker. However, The recipe book puzzles me! Could do with Australian/English wording!E.g.Cracked wheat...can't exactly recall the wording in the recipe, but it was something like "burghul". In my attempts to get this bread quite right, I had to Google this! Anyway the bread is lovely (always), BUT could we have from Heston a recipe book which acknowledges the difference between different languages?
Thank you for your feedback. We'll be sure to pass your suggestion on to our Buyers.
I have had several makes of breadmaker that leave a hole in which bugs me, so I had to try this one with it's collapsible paddle. On first use I pushed the paddle down hard and thought it was ok but it created a huge mess with huge holes and unmixed flour in which had to be thrown away so 2nd go this morning I pushed the paddle down again and hey presto it actually clicked all the way down. Apart from that initial mishap yesterday, it has just created the most amazing crusty load with just a small dent in the bottom and I am very, very happy. Would definitely recommend this breadmaker.
