This works every time. First of all you need to screw the thumb screw in as far as it will go so that the maximum amount of it comes through to the opposite side. position the unopened can end near the hnge so that the thumb screw point pierces the can (And weakens it) and then stand on it as shown. Even my wife who is 4.10 and the weight of a paperweight can use it.

I saw this item in the catalogue and thought what a good idea. Then read the reviews, this almost put me off, but I am so glad that I decided to buy it. As long as you read the instructions there is no problem and it works beautifully. It does what is says on the pack and crushes cans very easily.

Apprehensive at first it took only a few minutes to use the crusher properly. Very important to get the punch set properly then its a dream. I actually enjoy using the machine it crushes steel cans with ease. A great buy.
