Sure to revolutionise the way in which you hang out your laundry, Heg Pegs will hold washing firmly in even the strongest gales and, with their innovative design, can hold even heavier items such as jeans and jackets.
Having featured on Shark Tank Australia, their version of Dragon’s Den, sales soon took off Down Under as more and more people discovered just how effective the Heg Peg is at keeping laundry exactly where it’s supposed to be.
How Was It Invented?
It all started with a spaghetti strap… Scott Boocock, the Australian designer of the award-winning Heg Peg, was hanging out the laundry when he pulled his wife’s little black dress out of the washing basket and was stumped as to the best way to attach it to the line. The straps were too thin to be securely held by the pegs, and if he folded it over the line it would end up creased with unsightly peg imprints. What if, he thought, pegs had hooks as well as grips, and so the ingenious Heg Peg was born.
What Makes It Different?
A true innovator, Scott considered every aspect of the humble clothes peg during the design process, identifying and resolving all the usual shortcomings to make the Heg Peg better, stronger and more functional than all the rest. The strappy dress-inspired dual hooks maximise space by allowing you to hang garments on both sides to make the most of every drying day.
Thanks to the Grip-Lock system, the tension created between pegs on the line securely holds washing in place no matter how strong the wind. The belt hoops of heavy items such as jeans can be attached to the hooks so they hang flat rather than scrunched to dry quicker and minimise ironing. The wide-opening arms and robust stainless steel spring of the pegs securely hold even the bulkiest of items to the line, and the large ergonomic grips make them comfy to hold and easy to open.
Finally, being UV stable and shatterproof, they cope with all kinds of weather, and they’re easy to slide out of the way when not actually in use so can be stored on the line ready for action.
