Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

Have used one of these for years and wouldn't be without it. I never use an oven or grill, cook sausage and veggi meals quickly and it browns well. Scones are so quick and easy, jacket potato, bacon and mushrooms, whatever you fancy. Cheap and clean. Will purchase a second so I can cook two different meals together as soon as they become available. Well done Lakeland.

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

WOW! I had thought about buying a Remoska for some time. Well I have bought it and very glad I did too. It cooks wonderfully and with very little mess. For someone who lives on their own this is really ideal. I don't know how I managed without it before! A suggestion.....The mains cable would be good if it unplugged at the handle.

Hooked but has drawbacksby Tricia

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

Cannot live without our Ramoska but there are problems.Foods such as stews with a high liquid content cause the heating element to blow fuses. Have returned a remoska with this problem, but very irritating to have to reset all the house clocks when this happens! The other problem is that the non-stick surface peels off the rim of the lid. Does not seem robust enough for the job. Finally be careful with the red hot lid.I put mine on top of the hob when stirring food.

Amazing Christmas Gift! by Katie Fraser

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

I got the Remoska as a Christmas gift after seeing one that a friend had! She had recommended I get one after my oven cooking is not easy , but I cant wait to use my remoska and I recommend it as it is a versatile , economical and probably the best thing that your kitchen needs! A tip if I can give it is when you want to stir any foods in the remoska pan is to put the lid down on a plate instead of doing what they do in the demostration video where they are putting the lid down on the kitchen worktop!

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

I use it for virtually everything I would have used the oven for except a full roast lunch. And its non-stick quality makes it a cinch to clean. I thought about it for a long time before buying, but wish I had bought it earlier.

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

I first inherited my Remoska from my aunt, although sceptical i used it and was impressed more than i can say. Have now given it to my 94 year old Dad as so easy to use, and have bought new one. I use it for everything and love it. It cooks better than anything I have ever used at a fraction of the cost! Love it 100%

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

We deliberated about getting one of these for ages. Why did we wait so long? It is brilliant, used it virtually every day since we got it. Excellent for jacket potatoes, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, corn on the cob. I just tried a toasted sandwich, you need a small amount of butter on the outside, it takes longer than a toastie maker but the result was worth the wait. The list is endless for it's uses, have a go at anything you won't be disappointed. However we do wish we had bought the grand.

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

My Grandma has got one since 1960's and still uses it today. As far as I remember it never needed any maintenance. It is standard appliance in Czech homes and I am pleased to see it here in UK. I will surely be purchasing one very soon for myself.

excellent overallby Geoffrey

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

The Remoska is a wonderful conception and is, for me, the preferred method of cooking numerous dishes. Over the last few years, we have got through three of them, and we're thinking of buying a fourth. However, there are some problems. The most serious is that it is electrically primitive. A well-used Remoska in a house with a modern electrical consumer unit may well cause problems, as noted by another reviewer. We have discarded two for this reason, although we continued to use one of them in a location with an old-style fuse box. The second problem is one of marketing. We always use the shallow pan, but this is only offered as an extra. For us, therefore, a new Remoska costs £26.99 more than it should, and we are left with a set of standard pans that we don't want. The Remoska ought to be offered with the option of a standard pan or a deep pan. Despite these drawbacks, I still think the Remoska is a superb device, and I've every intention of continuing to use them.

I've had three of these ovens and everyone one has had the same problem. Great when they are new, but soon afterwards they blow all the electictrial safety devices in the house and render the whole household useless. I cannot understand how the Remonska has remained so popular with the buying puplic for so long. I loved the product till it blew all our electrical protection devices continually after initial newness.

A note from the team: Thanks for your review, and for taking the time to chat to me about this on the phone. In the early days of Remoska there was a problem with some of the units tripping electrics, but the product has since been modified to resolve this. Thanks for your time.

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

I bought my cooker 4 years ago when I moved to France, and didn't have a kitchen. I still behave as if I don't have a cooker because this little gem is absolutely amazing. From fabulous baked potatoes, to whole roast chickens it's amazing. And for doing things that spit like sausages and even bacon I wouldn't be without my little friend. It saves me money and time, and you can't say fairer than that. Thanks Remoska, you've got a fan in me. Pat

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

i tried to cook sausages on the high rack and they took ages, about 40 mins. i think it would be impossible to cook breakfast in it, im not sure how lakeland did it but i would like to see a live demonstration. its great for chicken and the pan needs little cleaning jacket spuds are quite good, better than the microwave and nearly as good as the oven. braised steak and onions were also a success but it is hard to judge the length of cooking time. will persevere. finding items like chops , sausage etc take an awful long time. will be trying baking soon, dont buy unless your patient

A note from the team: Thanks for your review. Breakfasts can be cooked in the Remoska by using the rack for the bacon/sausages etc. while the eggs can be cooked in the pan with a little oil. It may take a little longer than a main oven/grill or frying - but will use a lot less electricity.

I bought my remoska in 2003 and it is still going strong. It's fantastic for toad in the hole amongst others. I had a recent issue with the Teflon coating is peeling away from the underside of the lid and would like to thank Lakeland for their help. Quite possibly the best customer service I've ever come across!! Currently cooking tea now using the Remoska. Delighted!

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

We use our Remoska all the time. I haven't had time to get into all the recipes but even so I use it for everyday things like baked potatoes I cook them in the Summer without heating the kitchen up by turning on the oven - and it's cheaper. It's great for bacon as it is so easy to clean and it doesn't spatter all over my oven! I definately recommend anyone purchasing this also gets the wire rack that goes inside.

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

Have just returned from several weeks holiday at our caravan in France, the Remoska has been absolutely brilliant from roast chicken to stuffed peppers to tartiflette it never let me down. We only have 2 gas burners in the awning, it is too hot to do any cooking in the caravan and the oven has been converted into a storage cupboard, so what a blessing to have an oven outside. No trouble at all with french electrics but I always set the timer when using it. So easy to forget the time after a couple of glasses of wine!! My Remoska lives in France!! So shall have to treat myself to one for home.

No kitchen should be without oneby Mrs Galbraith

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

I have had the standard remoska for 7/8 years. Its is undoubtedly an amazing piece of equipment. I use it nearly every day and no longer use a microwave, and very rarely use my oven. Today I have made a delicious curry and a fish pie for tomorrow. Toasties are great, baked potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, omlettes, homemade soup straight from freezer into remoska and lots more. My parents recently bought me the shallow pan.One problem, wish the stand and lid could be sold "as one" as I don't need another pan, but would like another "unit".

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

...why have you discontinued the baby remoska. For us singletons out there, this was a godsend but no more! It's such a shame as I would love a spare pan for my baby! However, this does not mean I have lost my faith in them - I have the baby and got the grande second hand; my Dad has the standard and baby and my Mum has the standard! As you can tell, we love them! Cakes, flapjacks, mains, bread, soups - made them all and and constantly amazed at how easy it is. It got me through 9 months without a kitchen and my Dad made it through 3 months in a caravan with one.

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

I bought my Remoska 2 years ago, with both size pans and the rack. I love it, I live alone and use it daily my main oven is nearly redundant! I cook roasts, vegetables, jacket potatoes, casseroles, scones, cake, pizzas, bacon, oven chips anything! It is so economical, I even use it when I have dinner parties, the recipe book is so useful. I wouldn't be without it, I love it! Thank you Lakeland.

This is such a wonderful little cooker. Bit pricey, but worth every penny. Economical to run. Cook anything in it. Great for caravans/motorhomes etc. I was a bit sceptical before I bought it, but use it most of the time now.

Remoska Rave Reviewby Sue

5 stars out of 5

Standard Remoska® Electric Cooker

My Remoska is like a great friend in the kitchen and I really find it's a comfort. I have MS and getting hot food out of a conventional oven is a wail of grief and burnt knees and hands in a wheelchair! But this is so easy, and it inpires me to keep on cooking, even if it's just for me. I use mine every day,and have just ordered my third. (The second was for a friend who's recently separated and deserves a sensible kitchen friend like this wonderful gadget.) P.S. Any chance of a new cookbook from Milena, your expert guide?
