"Rusty Bottom!"
Bought this as previously had the apple. That was difficult to get the compost bags out of due to the shape. Whilst this has been much easier, it has rusted in the bottom due to inevitable leaks. Contains smells well due to the filter, bit now need to replace the caddy as the rust is spreading.
support_agent A note from the team
We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem. It's possible moisture has built up on the outside of the caddy bags or if the caddy is stored in a warm area, condensation may have been present to cause this. There maybe still a chance to save your caddy as removal of oxidized stains and even “surface rust” can be done by using a paste made from baking soda and water or a cleaner that contains oxalic acid, such as Bar Keeper's Friend. If using baking soda and water, use a cloth or soft bristle brush, rub the baking soda in the direction of the grain. We hope this helps.
