Oven Mate have been helping to keep our ovens clean and sparkling for years now, and we’re delighted that they’ve come up with a formula for sprucing up microwaves too! Cleaning, disinfecting and deodorising, these sponges couldn’t be easier to use – just remove them from their pouch, pop in the microwave and switch on.

Pre-impregnated with anti-bacterial agents, it will foam and steam to get the cleaning process going, and once cool can be used to sponge down any bubbles remaining. (Cleaning time depends on the power of your microwave.)

2 Microwave Cleaning Sponges

Dear Lakelands,

I just bought these and thought would give them a try, I am already a fan of the Oven Mate products, and this new one does not disappoint.

My microwave has been a challenge to me before, and these are so simple to use, the fragrance is pleasant and I love the fact that they also have anti-bacterial ingredients too.

The sponge I just rinsed out and have been using for other cleaning jobs.

This is a great product and will be buying more and recommending to my friends.

Another great idea, well done Lakelands!

Brill used for first time today. Really good. I'm one of you older customers, fingers dont work so well, but found this really good.

I was very disappointed by this product. Both tablets failed completely. I tried the first one which slightly foamed and when my husband tried the second one he had the same result.

A note from the team: Thanks for your review. While the sponge is heating it will steam the inside of the microwave, deodorising and disinfecting it with the antibacterial agents. You can then give the sponge a squeeze to release more foam for cleaning. We had great results with the microwave cleaning sponges, and we’d be happy to send some replacements for you to try.
