FAUX RATTAN LAUNDRY BASKET” by Rob and Liz TRIPP
While we needed a new basket, one of the reviews was critical of the assembly of the basket; however we ordered it fully expecting a typical DIY struggle. How wrong we were. Insert the black plastic spline into the chosen holes (one of 2 sides to suit your storage area) and clip the lid down onto the spline. 30 seconds - simples!
Good, but slightly irritating.” by Mrs Murray
Good style & dimensions but two drawbacks: The hinge: you need to fix this yourself. The 'help' was two small and unclear diagrams, no written instructions. After ages, and a fight with my husband, I worked out that the 'hinge' is only 1 of the thin outer bars on the fitting; you get a spare bar, and a throw-away mid section that looks like the hinge but isn't. The finish: no inner lining (why not?) and the bottom inner corners have sharp protrusions - I covered these with blister plasters (nice & thick) so that the sharp edges are wrapped and won't tear delicates.
A note from the team: Thankyou for your feedback, we'll pass your useful comments to our buying team.
Lack of thought in the design process.” by Mrs Caldow
Having searched for ages for a laundry hamper just the right size to replace my 1974 version, I was delighted to find this one fitted the bill perfectly. Noting the negative review on the moulding protrusions on the inside I thought, "how bad can that be?". Well, pretty bad it seems and I have resorted to a similar means of covering them up as the 1st reviewer, to prevent damage to laundry. I shall likely have to make my own liner. How hard can it be for Curver to round off those sharp corners in the manufacturing process? A disappointing aspect to an otherwise good product.
A note from the team: Thanks for taking the time to write your review I'll be sure to pass your comments on to our buying team about the finish of the basket.
