The Shark's patented lattice-design head 'pools' super-heated steam inside the fabric pocket, ensuring a continuous flow while at the same time allowing the pocket to 'breathe', so condensation doesn't build up, meaning your floors dry almost instantly.

The first steamer with a head that swivels through 180° for the ultimate in manoeuvrability, the pockets are also double-sided so can be flipped over to keep on cleaning for twice as long.

And there's a few extra touches to make this steamer really stand out from the crowd:

three heads, standard, triangle and extra-large, deal with any cleaning task from everyday spills to tight corners
extra-large water tank can be refilled as you steam
produces steam 'on demand' so there's none wasted when the handle is upright
extra-long 7.6m (25ft) cord will cover most rooms without the need to unplug
height-adjustable handle.

Shark® Steam Pocket Floor Steamer

Whilst the majority of reviews raved about this cleaner, I was concerned to see that a significant number virtually rubbished it. I decided to buy it and I'm glad I did. It's not cheap, but it's so easy to use, takes up very little storage space and is really effective, leaving floors almost dry. I've had no problems with its performance, reliability or durability. Don't expect miracles though - it's unlikely to cope with really badly soiled floors without a preparatory clean or with abrasive surfaces. This cleaner keeps smooth floors hygienically clean with little effort and no detergents.

Shark® Steam Pocket Floor Steamer

I've used this steam mop on all the hard surfaces around my house and it works a treat. I'm actually quite horrified by how much dirt was there to pick up in the first place! Works well on treated wood and tiles in our house and I'm delighted with its performance.
The only thing I would recommend is that you double-check that your wooden floors have been treated. There's a small caveat in the manual that comes with the mop which doesn't necessarily leap off the page at you - if you use this mop on untreated wood you run the risk of warping the floor boards.
Also, other companies on the internet sell this mop with additional microfibre pads. When I asked Lakeland why they don't offer this as well, they replied that it's not part of the deal they offer but that their money-back-any-time guarantee beats anyone else. I take their point on that (which is why I bought it from Lakeland in the end) but think it would be nice if they matched their competitors.

Shark® Steam Pocket Floor Steamer

I have previously had a steam mop and was wary of spending so much on this one. It is worth every penny!
The other one I had kept losing the cloths when I was mopping, this one is fantastic. The cloths stay firmly in place and it is simple to use and store.
Can't fault it. Up to Lakelands usual high standard.
