I brought this item in store for my daughters brithday cake. The nozzles are fantastic but both bags split while icing her cake. If you're thinking about buying, make sure you get some spare bags!

“Great nozzles...shame about the bag

I bought this for piping biscuits+ meringues as well as icing cupcakes, from a store without having read reviews! Used the bag in the set as nozzles would not fit any other bag I have. First job-buttercream on cupcakes. Looked fantastic afterwards - nozzle was the right size to give the look I was after. A little icing came out through the seam, but a 'livable with' amount. The nozzle and bag washed fine, next task was meringues, and that was where it all went wrong! Loads oozed out through the seam. Bag now in the bin. Nozzles good, bag isn't - certainly not up to usual Lakeland quality.

“Love this item

I always thought I couldn't pipe cupcakes like the professionals but all I needed was this set! The nozzles pipe beautifully and easily even with my arthritic hands. I took the avice from previous reviews and bought disposible bags to use with it. Thank you Lakeland for a great product.5 stars for the nozzles.

“Disappointing!

I'm really disappointed with the icing bag - the icing oozes out of the seams (even when its only half filled) and what is worse is that even after washing it has the most awful smell. I've queried this with staff in the shop but no one was able to explain why. I've always made sure the bag was well washed and left to dry so I dont know what is going on! That said the actual nozzles are great - I have just had to use another bag and 'adjust' it slightly to let me use the nozzles from this set.

“bag a disaster

Bought the set as wanted to pipe more. The nozzles are great but the bag is a disaster leaks out of the seams, not a pleasant experience. Will now have to look at disposable bags.

I purchased this a few months ago and I agree the nozzles are great but the bag is terrible. After 3 times of using it then it split at the side I did consider sewing it back up but threw it away as it was not worth it as its quality was poor. maybe time to try the silicone bag?

I bought this really just for the nozzles and i agree, they are brilliant, i think because of all the reviews i was expecting the worse but when i did try it out,its not that bad,i do wish the icing bag was a little bigger though

“Wonderful for cupcake swirls

I agree with most of the other reviews the nozzles are superb I use them with Lakeland's blue disposable icing bags. I use the nozzles for decorating cupcakes with various kinds of frostings, they are wonderful for that.

As so many others have said on here I am very happy with the nozzles but the piping bag is useless. I have been cake decorating for years and have never ended up in such a mess the grease from the buttercream seeps out, and the bag is very small. Have been buying from lakelands for years and has always been good quality so was disappointed by this.

... the other reviewers are spot on >:o( I LOVE the nozzles / tips (or whatever you like to call them) that come with this kit. However, the bag itself is next to useless. It is really small in comparison to other bags on the market, and the material isn't user-friendly in my opinion - you can't twist it, and you can't fold it, so whatever you do you're going to end up with hands covered in buttercream ! Such a shame - but don't let it stop you buying the kit - it's worth it for the nozzles alone !

The bag that comes with this set is unusable. This was one of my first Lakeland purchases and I am very disappointed. The bag leaked the oil from buttercream from all angles and made it impossible to use. With the reputation that Lakeland has, I was very surprised to have received such a poor quality item especially as it it not a cheap set. I am also surprised that despite the reviews (which I didn't read before buying) Lakeland continue to sell this product without changing the bag.

“Good & Bad

Great Nozzles and ideal for cupcakes, But the bag is awful. I'm finding the same problem as the other reviews. Bag isn't very good quality, gets greasy, which makes it messy & hard to use. Would rather of paid a little less & not got the bag with it

“Great nozzles, awful bag!!

Bought this as I loved the size and variety of nozzles. They are super, good size, good quality. The icing bag was another story, first time i used it I thought it was good, but after only its second use it started to disintegrate - bits of stringy glue like stuff coming away from it - obviously not fit for purpose and will not be using bag again. Agree with other reviews, ditch poor quality bag and sell nozzles on their own.

“Nozzles good, bag useless

Having read the reviews before ordering this item I took the liberty of also ordering some of the Lakeland disposable piping bags, which are fabulous, so much better than the one supplied which is useless. Perhaps it would be worth supplying a pack of the disposable ones instead of the one which comes with it. The nozzles are really brilliant, shame the bag lets it down.

“Great nozzles, but forget the bag

I bought this set yesterday after reading all the reviews and I agree that the nozzles are great, just what I had been looking for, but the piping bag did burst with my first use. I took the precaution of buying disposable blue icing bags for £8.99 and they work really well. I would have preferred to buy the nozzles on their own for £9.99, instead of wasting money on a piping bag that is not really up to scratch. Also would have helped to have an explanation of the effects of the different nozzles, instead of the time consuming trial and error process to find out which one does what. I would recommend the nozzles to a friend though.

After reading all the reviews on this product I thought I would give this a try, the nozzles are good and do a pretty good job but the piping bag is awful, Surely the bag needs to be reviewed and replaced as so many customers have complained about this?

“Fantastic Nozzles
”

After reading a few reviews I decided to buy this piping bag for the nozzles and then dispose of the bag and buy the 'Get a Grip' piping bags thus avoiding the mess with the bag and getting a set of large piping nozzles at a great price. At a shade over £20 it certainly is cheaper than other professional bags on the market!

Purchased these recently but wish I read the online comments first! On my first use the butter icing seeped through the bag and when I washed it up saw that the stitching was coming undone. Went back into your store and purchased the strong disposable ones. The nozzles are fantastic and give a really nice finish to cupcakes- just a shame about the bag!

“Nozzles Great, Bag Terrible

I thought I would try this as it looked like just what I needed to pipe on cupcakes. The nozzles are great, however just like other people have said, having used the bag just twice on the third use I ended up with horribly greasy hands. The buttercream just seems to come through it. Very disappointed as the nozzles are great and my cakes look fab otherwise. Wouldn't recommend unless you only want the nozzles.

“Terrible bag

I visited your store to purchase the Tala set but unfortunately it was out of stock so I settled for this one instead. The bag gets really greasy as the fat seems to seep through and you end up in a terrible slimy mess! An earlier reviewer mentions the stitching coming undone; this is happening to mine too. I wish I'd waited for the Tala one!
