“Just superb!

I previously bought a cheap little kit from a well known supermarket to try my hand at piping frosting onto cup cakes; it was awful, the frosting just oozed from the seams and covered my hands, I ended up just doing my usual palate knife rustic job. But when I saw these nozzles and the perfect partner of your disposable piping bags, I couldn't resist trying them. They were just superb! Just a pity my frosting recipe wasn't firm enough and my skill level isn't quite there with the piping but I can see even from my first try these two bits of kit will really make the difference, just chuffed!

“On the whole a good set.
”

I bought this set as I had completed a cupcake decorating course and wanted to practice my new skills! Was disappointed initially as the bag split on my first attempt. I have since purchased some disposable bags which are much better with less mess to clean up afterwards.

“Disappointing

I am really disappointed at this professional piping set. I too like the nozzles, but the piping bag is terrible. Everything I put inside squeezes out of the seams and it's too small. For the price I paid, I am really surprised at the quality of the bag. I will be buying the disposable ones instead...

“Very pleased

I really liked this piping set, the nozzles are great and i like the fact that their larger than others. I did use the piping bag that came with the set, although i found it ok to use, it did get a little greasy from the buttercream seeping through slightly, however dont let this put you off buying as the nozzles more than make up for that and disposable bags are a lot easier anyway!

“Overall OK

The nozzles are great... I'd struggled to find large nozzles like this elsewhere but the bag is a bit of a let down. Like the other reviewer I find that the icing leaks through the seams and covers my hands with buttercream! Think I may have to do what Miss Clarke does and buy disposables from now on.

“Nozzles are great, bag is a waste of time!

I was recommended the nozzles in this set, and they are perfect for icing cupcakes, I hadn't managed to find a set before that worked most of them seem too small. BUT, the bag is so bad! The quality is awful, it is far too small considering the nozzles are big, and the grease just comes straight out the bag all over! I was really disappointed when I used this product the first time and was left with a very slippy bag that was hard to hold, and very greasy hands! What made it worse was the bag stained and would not clean! The nozzles I now use with disposable piping bags, and they work great!

I bought this set last week from your Lincoln store where the ladies there were very helpful. I used it today and it's really very good, the nozzles are are great. I bought the disposable bags which were so easy to use so won't bother with the fabric bag.

I am very pleased with the nozzles, my latest cupcakes looked so store brought, I had to convince my work mates I made them myself! I also did not use the bag, but use the disposable ones (which are great!)

“piping bag

Seem to be having the same problem as the previous reviewer, the nozzles are good however this set is let down by the piping bag. It leaks heavily when trying to pipe the icing which is a disappointment!

I got my friend to buy me these last year for my birthday and I too love them, they do exactly as intended. The piping bag should either be left out of the kit or replaced with one of better quality or, a trial sample of the "Get a Grip Piping bags" which I use as they are superb. Absolutely spot on set of nozzles but let down by the silly nylon piping bag. I'll still give the set a 5 star rating and just ignore the piping bag!

“Great Nozzles - still a bad bag
”

If you are wondering if the supplied piping bag has improved - it hasn't! I bought these in December and bought the blue grippy piping bags with them as I had read the poor reviews of the bag that is supplied in this set. I tried it out last night before posting this review and it was a disaster!! Buy these ONLY for the nozzles - you will have to buy another bag or some disposable ones to use them. Lakeland - why do you not ask the supplier to package these without the bag in as this is obviously the only flaw that anyone finds with the product?

“Disappointing

The nozzles are fine but the bag is very poor. Mine went into the bin after two uses.I would like a diagram of the results expected from each nozzle.

I love this set, however only ever use 2 of the nozzles - it really needs examples and pictures for each one.

These are great espcially for topping cupcakes - I use the disposable piping bags. Took me ages to decide whether to buy these and I am glad I did.

“Great nozzles, shame about the bag!

Like a lot of the other reviews that I've now seen after purchasing these in the Stratford store today I have found that the bag is terrible, and so I've thrown it in the bin. Just wish I'd have picked up the disposable bags as there aren't many Lakeland stores in London so I won't be able to get back for a while. The nozzles are great for cupcake decorating, although it would be nice to know what effects each nozzle has.

“Nozzles good/bag bad

I'm an amateur cake decorator and recently had to decorate 100 cupcakes for a party. The nozzles were fantastic, the large swirl was brilliant for topping cakes, however I had to constantly wash my hands as butter grease seeped through seams and there fore made holding the bag very difficult and slippy!!however have since used the nozzles with your disposable bags and had a much better experience, definately how I'll do it in future.

as with other reviews, the bag is pretty useless so I use these nozzles with the disposable bags. they are fab and give professional results even if you're a novice icer! would recommend.

“Good nozzles, bag is poor

Decided to use it to make meringue, and the nozzles were good, but the bag was seeping meringue mix within minutes. Was a very messy affair.

I've had this set for a number of years now and it gets used for all sorts. Like others, I cannot comment on the bag as it has never been out of the box and I use the tubes with disposable bags. The lack of a coupler to fit them was disappointing, however, there is a workaround. Fit your tube into your piping bag as normal. Take another bag and fill with your mixture. Cut the tip off this second bag and place it inside the bag fitted with the tube so that you have a double skin. To change tubes, simply slide the inner bag out and slide it into another bag set up with the other tube.
