iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

It took a lot of persuasion for the bloke to agree to this purchase, but he freely admits that Hudson (who cleans Upstairs and Downstairs) was worth every penny! I love that I can set him up, and then dog & I disappear off on our walk, to come home to a freshly hoovered room. Hudson is in use in one room or another every day, and because he cleans so conscientiously, the place just seems to stay cleaner. The spot cleaner is very handy for cleaning up where the very hairy dog has had a shake, and daughter is delighted that she has now been sacked as main hoovered. A wonderful buy!

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

I was given iRobot Rooma for my birthday and christmas present because I had kept on saying I wanted one! It is great and performs really well and copes with hair & dirt from 2 dogs & a cat as well as 2 humans. Cleaning its brushes is easy and the filter works well. My house has never been so clean! I still need my other vacuum for a few difficult areas. The best present ever, and safe to buy from Lakeland with their guarantee.

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

I cannot believe how brilliant this little thing it! I use it every day. I bought a “best buy” vacuum cleaner last year but it will not get much use in future. The carpets - and everything at floor level - look new; the air seems fresher, it saves so much time and effort and gets places I can’t reach! It is quieter than any vacuum cleaner I have had too. I could write a chapter about how well it has performed and I have just ordered one for my sister…I don’t want her wasting any more energy vacuuming floors. We just need a mini one that can clean stairs now, please!

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

I bought an earlier model (530) which is no longer stocked and loved it for about a year when it worked well. Unfortunately it seemed to loose the will to live and would cut out after only a few minutes (usually under the bed). Contact with Roomba gave some suggestions to try but failed to rectify the problem so I feel that it is a very expensive item if it can develop unsolvable problems. Maybe the new model is better - I hope so for anyone who has one.

This hoover is brilliant. It lives constantly in our hall (2 dogs, 1 cat and a smallholding . . .) It's great at going under the beds etc which is good for my other half who has a bad chest, allergies etc. Also excellent on hard floors.

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

My flat has a mixture of floorings (parquet, wood laminate, cushionfloor and carpet) and is on a main road, so dust is a major issue. I dithered for some time before I bought this, but the glowing reviews on the site, + Lakeland's unconditional money back guarantee, persuaded me to give it a go. It’s now been in residence for the last 10 days. The flat has never been so clean! It is a quite extraordinary little device, scuttling avidly under furniture with no difficulty at all. Very cheap to recharge, so if you vacuum regularly you could save a lot in a year.

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

I love my Roomba, or Clive as my son named him! Being disabled means i can just leave him to bumble round cleaning everywhere he goes. I even find myself talking to him .." dont go near the stairs!" Ha Ha! Sadly after a year or so of use, my Roomba has died, he will no longer charge and is sat on the charger with no lights showing he is charging or ready to go. As i cant afford to replace him i guess its time to put him away and try to manage with my old vacuum cleaner. I would thoroughly advise anyone to buy a Roomba, they are amazing and leave carpets really clean.

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

I bought this gadget as I have difficulty using any other vacuume cleaner. It's terrific, I leave it vaccing the carpets whilst I dust elsewhere or clean a bathroom. I wish it did stairs! You have to be dilligent with emptying the dust container and cleaning the roller brush otherwise it does leave fluff behind, but this is a very small price to pay to have large rooms vacuumed, even under tables etc. I never have to feel guilty about not having vacuumed, it's brilliant, Love it.

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 555

I don't have a name for mine... but I was amazed. I honestly thought this was going to be nothing more than an expensive fancy carpet sweeper. But no, it goes round and round for what seems an eternity, but does an amazing job cleaning, vacuuming, and even lifting the pile of my carpet as well as any upright might do. I'm disabled with MS, so anything that saves me housework or lifting and bending and so on is a boon. This is a definite boon. I only have to bend once to set if off and once again to collect it. Just wish it did stairs! I separately bought another docking station for upstairs, so all I have to do is carry the Rooma itself upstairs, rather than the whole caboodle. It did get a bit stuck a couple of times, in that it collected hairs around the brushes which seemed to cause it to sort of "choke". Once sorted, off it went to finish off its job. I empty the dust container and clean the brushes each time to make sure it doesn't get clogged up. I find if I let it do the entire downstairs in one go, it doesn't do as good a job as when I let it do one room at a time, by shutting it in. When I let it do one room at a time, it spends what seems like hours at it, going round in circles till its every corner. If I let it do the whole of downstairs in one go, it seems to get lost or confused between which room to spend more time in, but still gets most of it done, just not quite as well as room by room. I forgot to put the virtual wall in place on one occasion by a shallow step, and it fell over and called out for help, ha! Love it.
