“Disappointing

I'm not happy with this product. I placed it in a small clothes cupboard where I had been finding mildew and dampness. The indicator did turn pink but only after about 6 months and the problem is still there in the cupboard, it doesn't seem to have affected it at all. I wouldn't buy this again.

Soaks up a small amount of moisture from the air but unfortunately it is not as affective as I hoped. Probably best for a draw rather than a window ledge. Also, as others have said it would be better if the microwaving instructions were printed on the egg.

“Best I've found

I've been pleasantly surprised with my little egg. I got one at the same time as a chemical device for another room. The egg works better, is more attractive and doesn't produce waste products that need to be removed. Refreshing the egg in the microwave is easy once it's removed from the plastic holder (I keep the instructions in a kitchen drawer for settings). I've just ordered two more, but agree with previous reviewers that the stand could be more durable and the instructions would be better printed on the egg.

“Ideal for small spaces
”

This has worked wonders by the window in my very small bedroom! Not sure it would be any use in larger areas but I am very pleased with mine!

“Dehumidifier

I bought one of these a few months ago. Good for small areas, like draws. The holder could be stronger and the little windows that show pink/blue keep falling out. It would be useful to have the time you microwave it to refresh it, printed on the egg itself for people like me, who throw away the instructions after reading them, then forget what they said.

“Hasn't cured the problem!

Bought this egg about 3 months ago. Was working ok until I put it in the microwave, and now doesn't cure the condensation problem in my sons very small room. Disappointed this time, and wouldn't recommend the product.

“great item
”

bought 3 of these as had condensation problem in 2 bedrooms and especially the bathroom, these worked straight away and have been brilliant, was a bit unsure at first due to price and I needed 3, but am pleased I got them, only gripe is that the holder is just a normal plastic and could do with being a bit stronger/thicker

“tactile way to reduce condensation

An egg is such a lovely shape, and handling the unglazed pottery egg is very pleasant (NOT when it's just come out of the microwave, of course!!!). I always dry the holder (not so nice - it feels rather flimsy) before I put the egg back into it.

“Limited Life

At first the egg seemed to be working well. There was still condensation on the windowsill but much less and the egg was getting heavier showing it was filling up. However, after the second microwave is seemed to stop working. The sensor won't seem to dry. I left it to dry out without the egg attached for while and it did eventually turn back to blue but now the egg just remains pink. A shame that it breaks so quickly.

“Not bad at all!

I recently moved in to an old house with a fairly substantial condensation/mould problem. I bought a few of these as a quick temporary fix to place around the areas where the problem was worst, and although I wasn't expecting them to work miracles I'm quite pleased with the results. The condensation in some areas has completely gone. It hasn't been able to fix the worst spots, but I don't think anything other than a large dehumidifier would be able to. They're also pretty cute and don't look too unsightly sat on the windowsill. I had to reactive them on arrival as they'd been dehumidifying the box while they were delivered, and the process seemed pretty straight forward. Since then I've not had to blast any of them, even though they seem to be absorbing a fair bit, so all in all I'd certainly recommend giving them a go, so long as you don't expect miracles from them...

“Very Disappointing!
”

This has to be one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made. Although the colour on the sides does change colour, there is no evidence that it has made any difference to the area in which it sits. Microwaved it dry to see if that would make it work better, but again, no difference. Can not recommend this product.

My bedroom windows had condensation top to bottom. I put the egg on the windowsill behind the curtains and now there is never a drop of condensation.

“A small improvement
”

I have had one of these eggs in the bottom corner of a wardrobe for 2 months. The panels have turned pink and returned to blue after "cooking", so the product is not faulty and the colour change leads me to believe that something is happening! However, the damp problem is not solved. I think it's slightly better with the egg but it's always hard to tell when you're looking every day. And now that I'm aware of the damp problem I have taken other measures such as moving the clothes around which may have contributed to the improvement. I'm satisfied that the egg is at least doing something, unlike a different moisture trap that I bought from Lakeland at the same time.

“Waste of time
”

Bought this product months ago to try and help a condensation problem in a corner of a bedroom. I placed the egg next to the problem source and although the pads change colour,( which leads you to believe something must be working), I can honestly say that it has done absolutely nothing to help solve the problem. This is the most useless item that I think I have ever purchased - save your money.

Purchased this item from a local store last week and I am yet to see the product work????? Sat in a puddle on a window ledge and still the product is still bone dry? and my room still damp.

“Very Poor!

I recently purchased the dry egg dehumidifier and placed on the window sill in the bedroom where condensation is a problem. It has made absolutely no difference whatsoever and the crystals inside are still very dry! Doesn't seem to be working? Am very disappointed in this product as I have bought from Lakeland previously and have always been very satisified with their products.

“Dry Car Windows
”

I recently bought the Egg Dehumidifier to try in my car & found that it works wonders on condensation inside the car. No more wiping the windows inside first thing in the morning anymore. Wonderful.

“Small spaces
”

We have two of these little marvels in use in my husbands gun safes. After trying other products which were too big and bulky we find these eggseptional items are doing a fine job of protecting our antique guns from moisture. They are also very easy to 'recharge'. Absolutely perfect for our application

“Work really well
”

I have three or four of these around the house but all are in use in smaller spaces, like a large drawer of clothes, a wardrobe and a blanket box. They are small items and I don't think they are designed to be used to remove condensation from rooms in general. Many customers seem to have been trying to do this and have been disappointed as a result. I have also been using mine for over 2 years with no loss of performance. I bought mine from a different supplier which did state that they were for use in smaller spaces, so perhaps that should be part of the product description.
