The activated charcoal filter inside the lid lasts 3-4 months, preventing odours escaping into the kitchen and aiding the composting process.

“Compost Caddy

We have a very small kitchen, but this caddy is ideal for us. It sits neatly and we have no trouble with the lid or filter. (Try sellotaping the filter either side if it becomes loose). No smells, and it holds about a week's waste for two of us.

“Not as good as it could be

My personal experience is that whilst the size is great, the filter holder is useless, the filters dont fit properly (too lose) and are prone to drop in/slouch.
This leaves the Caddy open for 'fruit flies' to buzz around in the warmer months. Very annoying!

“Very satisfied

I have had my compost caddy for a couple of months now and I find it very useful. It holds a lot of waste which means I only have to empty it about once or twice a week. The filter has so far worked brilliantly and there is no smell at all. I have not had any problems with the lid or filter not fitting properly and am very glad that I bought this product.
