“If you are tempted to use this, DON'T!

This product should come with a warning on it. I applied it to a sealed wooden floor and to porcelain tiles. initally, it appeared to give my floors a nice gloss. however, i subsequently cleaned my floors with with a normal detergent cleaner and it reacted with the Quick Shine leaving a dull, matt residue across all my floors. worse than this, it is very very difficult to remove. i've just spent most of this weekend on my hands and knees scrubbing with some success with the porcelain tiles. however, i can see that i will have to have my wooden floor re-sanded in order to remove this stuff. if tempted to use, make sure you test it on an inconspicous area first - and then try washing it with your normal house hold floor cleaner and see what happens. I cannot believe this product has been tested by the manufacturer or by Lakeland Plastic. I feel completely cheated by this produce and i'm dismayed and disappointed to have bought such a product from a trusted source like Lakelands. there are no clear warnings on the package and it was only after i saw the state of my floors that i looked the product up on the internet and saw volumes of comments from other dissatisfied customers that have had a similar experience to myself.

The manufacturer recommends that after using Quick Shine Floor Finish surfaces are not cleaned with oil soap, pine oil, orange oil, ammonia or vinegar as these can leave a sticky, oily residue. They also advise against using all-purpose cleaners as they can leave a detergent haze. The manufacturer recommends that customers use a light, rinse free, neutral cleaner which will not interfere with or reduce any shine.

This product is absolutely great, lovely shiny floor......I am unable to understand why it is not available now in your branch, and will not be reordered on line once your stock is depleted.

“Great for wooden floors

I really love this product and find that it is so easy to polish my wooden floors. It leaves a beautiful gloss finish.

“Brilliant product
”

This is the only product I have found that brings a shine to my old (dark stained) pine floors. I would like to award it 10 stars. I am so disappointed that you are discontinuing it and have just bought six bottles. I would like to also buy a cleaning product to use along with Quick Shine and hope you can recommend one. I note that the customers disappointed with this product have not used it on wooden floors - those of us who do have said we are delighted with it. Please reconsider your decision.

“literally brilliant!

I'm devastated that Lakeland is discontinuing this product. I couldn't believe how wonderful this product is, having spent years of really hard work trying to keep a polish on my wooden floors and having wasted money on a large range of products. A few drops of Quick Shine on a floor cloth/mop does the trick in seconds; an immediate and hard wearing gloss which dries in minutes. It may seem quite expensive, but a bottle lasts for ages. I'd give the product 10 stars if I could!

“Superb!
”

I bought this a while ago and forgot to use it. However, just had some new Oak furniture delivered which made the Oak finish flooring look dull. Remembered I had this product and give the floors 2 coats. I am so pleased with the result. The floor looks amazing and friends notice the floor before the new furniture! Will definately get some more.

“Brilliant

For years I have been looking for and tried just about every so called high shine solution for my laminate flooring, from cleaners to polishers, but was dissappointed every time, Untill Now. I read the reviews and thought I`ll give it a go,so I bought two bottles thinking one would not be enough (4 rooms approx 12ft X 12ft) boy was I mistaken, one bottle did all 4 rooms 3 times with still a little to spare and the high gloss shine is second to none. I would definately (and have) recomend this product to everyone.... p.s. it`s really good on floor tiles too

“bad stuff

I put this on my light cream ceramic tiles looked lovely then a week later washed again with normal flash and to my horror the tiles look awful please someone tell me how to get rid of this polish. The store do not sell anything and can not help. They are supposed to be high gloss now they look like a smeared mess.

“Amazing shine
”

I have been looking for this sort of product for years to revive my kitchen tiles. It certainly does the job and my tiles look like new. I probably need to renew the shine now after several months.

“very disappointing
”

I was inspired by the great review, but all I have been left with are dull, DULL, DULL floors. This is not after three weeks, this is immediately after applying the polish. I have tried wiping it on gently, polishing it vigorously, putting more on, putting less on. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it looks awful. Dull. I'm very disappointed - does anyone have any suggestions?

“Fabulous finish

Just to say that we've used Quick shine on our real wood and laminated floors for a couple of years now and I can't praise it highly enough. 2 or 3 coats leaves an excellent finish that only needs re-doing about once a year

“awful

I spent hours polishing my dull, black tiled kitchen floor with this product, worth it because it looked fantastic when I finished. Unfortunately, I washed my kitchen floor (gently) the following day and the stuff lifted, leaving my tiles smeared with muddy looking white stuff which I am struggling to get off. My kitchen looks like a herd of cows with muddy feet have tramped through it. What made it even worse was that 2hrs after washing it I was holding a dinner party, I was so embarrassed and had to keep explaining to my guests as they arrived that, no, my floor wasn't dirty, just ruined by this awful polish.

“AMAZING!

This really works! We have an maple floor which has been down for over 25 years and it really should be revarnished. However we were putting this off as its such a messy job. Now thanks to Quick Shine, the floor looks as good as new. It's really easy to use and another bonus is that the floor is so much easier to mop clean once you've put a coat or two of Quick Shine on. 5 stars.

“very disappointing
”

I received this product today as I wanted to make my black tiled floor shine! After applying it I left it to dry as said and when I have gone back to have a look the floor looks horrid! There is no shine and it's all streaky and I can't get it off! A very expensive tiled floor now looks awful, does not do what it says on the tin ! :(

“Love the product BUT............

I bought this product from Lakeland and applied 2 coats to my Ceramic tiled floor in the kitchen, amazing, every few days i would clean it with my Steam Mop also from Lakeland. A month later i was disappointed to see the floor had become very dull and very sticky we washed it several times with a floor cleaner to remove what appeared to be a residue. I still love Quick Shine and am assuming that the steamer lifted the solution, i am going to persevere and try another way of cleaning ,watch this space.

I bought this because of the reviews and they were totally accurate. My floors are old oak. Now they have a very pleasant sheen - which was so easy to achieve. I, too, recommend this product. It's great.

“Amazing!

I used this product after I had painted our hallway and got paint all over the laminate flooring. After having to scour the floor to remove the paint, it looked awful but one application of this polish and it looked amazing. Not a scratch to be seen and it looked like new. A second coat and friends were asking if we'd put down new flooring as part of our decorating. I could actually see reflections in the floor. I used it on our tile effect laminate in the kitchen and it was positively gleaming. A fantastic product and I have recommended it to everyone who has commented on our super shiny floors!

I have been using this product for years and find it excellent.! I am disappointed that Lakeland no longer carry the matching product "no bucket floor cleaner".I have not found anything to match it.

“Quick Shine - totally fab!

I was sorry to read someone had a negative experience with this product - it was a surprise as I have trawled the market for a product to give my oak floor a shine and have not come up with anything better. In fact I am ordering two bottles today to make sure I always have some in the house. It's great stuff!

“Absolutely amazing
”

This has reduced our maintainance costs considerably!! No more calling in the floor specialists to do the job for you. This gives our slate tiled floor the finish we have always wanted and paid a fortune to keep the floor clean and shiny.
