Lakeland 50th Anniversary Recipe Book
When the idea of a recipe book was first suggested to celebrate our anniversary, the source of the recipes was obvious to us… our lovely customers! You generously sent in your favourites, Steven Doherty from our First Floor Café made them all for taste-testing to help us choose, and then we added in a seasoning of contributions from a few of our famous friends – Michel Roux Jnr, the Hairy Bikers and Mary Berry to name just a few and of course, Sir Terry Wogan could not be missed out – resulting in a collection of more than 60 delicious recipes.
Beginning with an introduction by managing director Sam Rayner, featuring memories, anecdotes and pictures from the founding and development of Lakeland, the book continues with great recipes for interesting Starters, Main Courses and Puds. From cherished family recipes passed down generations to Heston Blumenthal’s secret for the perfect chips, many of these recipes are likely to become your new family favourites.
All profits from the book are being donated by Lakeland to the BBC Children in Need Appeal, a charity that we have supported for many years with your help.

Another Lakeland Gem” by KIM
I have been shopping with Lakeland for around 35 years and thought this was a great idea to reminisce. As with all the other Lakeland products, quality and value for money are fantastic. The photographs make the food look mouth-watering and I have already tried several recipes with plans to try others. I especially like the seasonal section and reading about the contributors. It makes it feel more personal understanding why the recipe was entered into the competition. Well done to all the winners - the result is a truly inspirational book that is likely to be well used in the coming months.
