Patented Valve Technology
Combined with its easy-to-use one-handed locking mechanism, the CookQuick has patented valve technology which features residual pressure release and produces constant pressure balance and reduces the release of steam, and prevents your food from boiling over. The glass lid allows you to see how your food is getting on without opening and releasing all the heat and steam.

This is a very good product and just the right size for a small family
I have used pressure cookers all my life - half a century! This one is by far the best. I love the fact that you can release the lid without running it under a cold tap in the sink. It does take a little longer to cook once it has come up to pressure but now that I'm used to it, it's not a problem. Because it doesn't have such a long single handle it also fits into cupboards a lot easier. It's great for soups as well as vegetables. The only thing I miss is a trivet in the bottom, or some other metals containers to keep different veg separate when cooking everything together.
I didn't find this much quicker for cooking (so I bought a pressure cooker as well)but did find it much more efficient at cooking vegetables in a very small amount of water becuase of the excellent seal. For this reason loved it until..... I accidentally left over a high flame and this melted the catches at the side on the lids. Now i just have an extra saucepan with no lid:(
I have been using the COOKQUICK POT for 2 months and love. Not as quick as my 30 year old traditional pressure cooker was, but much easier to use. Once the lid is sealed the contents come to boil very quickly. You can see what is going on through glass lid and releasing the pressure is just a press of the handle, no running the pan under the cold tap. I have just cooked a batch of soaked dried chickpeas in half the time of a normal pan. Brilliant for cooking quick vegetable soups and stews. I bought it during the sale, not sure I would pay the full price for it.
So far I have only cooked home made vegetable soup and chilli, but don't find it's any quicker than in a normal pan. The rubber gasket has retained the smell of soup, as it cannot be washed in the dishwasher. The instruction booklet states "Always use plastic, nylon or silicone spatulas etc. – metal tools will damage non stick coatings." Yet on the product information it states "Metal utensil friendly". Would be nice to buy a replacement gasket.
Thanks for taking the time to write your review and bringing this to our attention. The instruction manual will be amended as soon as possible to show that metal utensils can be used with this pot.
