Egg Boiler” by Valerie
I wish that I had ordered this fantastic machine before now - a small machine with a big 'plus ' and eggs cooked so perfectly! Thank you Lakeland!
Very pleased with this item!” by Harold
Bought this recently and had the time, and eggs, to give it a good test. I like poached eggs so have not yet used the other features of the cooker. I added water up to the "Medium" line and found the egg white was cooked well at the top but undercooked at the bottom, the egg yolk was quite runny. Then added water up to the "Hard" line well cooked egg white and a yolk which hard on the outside and soft in the centre. After various tests I have found the amount of water which gives me poached eggs exactly how I like the!
A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're pleased you found just the right amount of water to produce the eggs to your liking.
Love it!” by Sheila
I bought this item as a gift for my boyfriend at the recent Good Food Show in London. I actually went looking for it as he is not too hot in the kitchen to say the least. The first attempt did result in runny eggs, but we decided to leave them to steam a little longer with the power off on the second attempt - long enough to do the toast and they were perfect! Yes, you should use bottled water to avoid stains, but that's true of all appliances. Yes, an alarm would probably be useful, but given the very short cooking time it's not essential. He loves it and is getting a lot of use out of it!
