I've just tried the deep fat frier for the first time. I prefer French fries, much thinner, and washed the chips thoroughly, twice. Dried them, and put them in for 10 mins at 150 degrees. Then upped the temp to 190 degrees for 4 minutes, and they were absolutely perfect. Crispy on the outside, golden brown, and soft in the middle. If only chips were better for you!
