The Remoska has been a faithful friend to us over the years, but it was time for a facelift – no major changes, just little tweaks to make it even better than before, and it’s still made and tested by skilled workers in a small Czech factory. As well as a new, contemporary shape, the pan heats up more quickly, has better conductivity and a really secure stainless steel lid that can be removed and rested safely on the worktop even when hot. In fact, we asked some loyal fans of the old model to test the new version and they liked it so much they wouldn’t give it back!
It cooks better than an oven and is positively miserly with electricity – your oven will hardly need to be switched on. Roast chicken pieces (crispy skin, flesh as soft as butter), succulent lamb chops with golden roasted potatoes, toad-in-the hole and fish bake; toasted sandwiches, baked potatoes, pizzas from frozen, ready meals in their foil dishes; you can even bake light, moist sponge cakes and delicious scones. The pan is coated with Teflon® Classic so it’s easy to clean and, being so compact, it can be packed up and taken anywhere there’s a 240V electricity supply.

My old hugely loved Remoska 'died' yesterday am. Phoned Lakeland to order a new one. My new one works just as wonderfully as the old one - miss the window in the lid a bit but have used one for so many years will get used to this quickly! Thank you Lakeland - thank you Joan - THANK YOU!!!!!!

I have just had to replace my much loved Standard Remoska, with the new version. I usually bake my own bagels but thought I'd bake one of the present batch in the Remoska, just to see what happened. Normally, I bake these at 220C but, hey, one wouldn't hurt. I put some water in the pan while it warmed up and, after about 5 minutes, tipped it out and dropped in the said bagel. The others went in the oven at the same time. After 15 minutes I checked and it was done! The others needed another 5 minutes. The Remoska bagel won hands down. Better colour, better everything!

I have been dithering about buying one of these for a while but a kitchen makeover has prompted me to finally get one. What was I waiting for? It's brilliant and my oven hasn't been on since I bought it. It cooks food in less time than my big oven takes to warm up. A crumble can be put to cook while dinner is being eaten and it's ready by the time we are. I've tried to get a rack but they're not available at the moment and dividers would be the icing on the cake. I'm recommending it to anyone who will listen
