Awesome Cake Pan” by Sarah Thomson
This cake pan is excellent. Sponge released easily from the pan using cake release and the detailing on the cake was amazing. I chose to frost the cake and then used the pan again to create the detailing in fondant by pressing pieces into the pan and placing them onto the cake. I then created a 'battle damaged' look with lustre dust. I've posted a pic onto the Lakeland facebook page as the end result was awesome. It was for my son's 15th birthday and he was over the moon. This cake pan was an excellent buy - easy to create a professional looking cake and I will recommend it to everyone.
Mrs Holmes” by Mr Holmes
What a fantastic cake pan. Definition is really good. We made a chocolate gluten, wheat and dairy free sponge and then decorated using the picture on the box as a guide. Same we can't upload finished picture. What a great 50th Birthday cake
A note from the team: Thanks for taking the time to write your review. We'd love to see your results, you can always visit our Facebook page and upload your picture there. Many thanks.
Brilliant cake pan!” by Mrs Franklin
But...not a 4 egg recipe - came out like a biscuit. I then used a 6 egg recipe (350g SR flour, 350g Caster, 2 tsps vanilla, 3tblsp milk, 3tsp baking powder) and this was perfect. Tips - it took 65mins to bake at 180, so halfway through cooking I wrapped all the edges in foil to prevent burning. Even having done this the 2 front small sections still came out crispy (i won't serve those). Secondly, despite washing the mould in soapy water before the first use, the failed bake came out with a plastic taste and got a bit stuck. Make sure you grease & flour and do a dummy run to burn off the taste
