You need additional equipment” by Helen
I though that this sounded like a good idea. Bread sticks in the microwave in minutes. Having made the batter, the instructions say : Put the dough in the Decomax. I dont know what this thing is, it wasn't included in the box (which is just the mould) and nowhere on the box did it mention that you need something else but you do need something to get the dough into the mould. I ended up having to make some kind of piping back with clingfilm to get the dough into the mould. I got very messy. In the end the sticks were OK.
A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. Our apologies the Decomax isn't included with the Silicone Bread stick Maker. The box and instruction state this in error. We'll be in touch shortly to help.
Too much temptation!” by Patricia
As the other reviewer said it was annoying to read in the instructions 'pour dough into Decomax' as I also don't have one and ended up getting very sticky indeed. That said I also found I needed to experiment with timings. The recipe said 5.5 mins - almost needed the fire brigade! I tried again with both 3 and then 2 mins and also baked a batch in the oven. I then asked my tasters to comment - we agreed that the 2 min batch were the best. The only problem is, they are too moreish! 1 batch wouldn't last long here.
Gluten free bread sticks” by JANE
These moulds are brilliant when used with a gluten free bread mix and simply spreading the batter into the mould with a rubber spatula. Leave to prove then bake in hot oven for 20 minutes, turn out, separate and bake again for 10 minutes. Results in crispy sticks, delicious.
