I purchased this kit to try out before I bought them as presents for our friends for christmas. Unfortunately it really didn't work. The piping bag comes without a nozzle, making it difficult to hold the skins in place whilst squeezing the bag. The skins split very easily rendering them useless, or just unravelled before they were fully filled. Also the amount of effort required to squeeze the sausagemeat through the bag was incredibly high, even for my husband. After an hour and a half we had three sausages and a kilo of unused sausagemeat. Everything else had to be thrown away.

Thought had better try the kit that I bought for myself before giving the others as christmas presents. I am not a novice in the kitchen but this really is a two man job (unless you have a pet octopus to hand). One piping bag is not enough (luckily had disposable spares at home so able to use these). Managed to make a few decent looking sausages, a few that will explode due to the air pockets & a few that really should be hidden under mash. Great idea but very difficult to master - especially on your own (as per instructions) - need helping hands or a trained butcher to show you how :(

Please only buy this if you want an overpriced seasoning mix for meatloaf. Really disappointing results. Only managed to make two air-pocketed sausages with the poor quality sausage casings - the piping bag split as well which didn't help matters. Best just buy some sausages - particuarly since this requires 1.5kgs of meat and costs £8.99.
