Lakeland Make-Your-Own Farmhouse Sausage Kit
Bangers and mash will taste all the more delicious when you’re tucking into sausages made by your own fair hand. And the wonderful thing is that, as you’ve made them, you’ll know exactly what has gone into them. Veronica, our kitchenware buyer and her team have been experimenting with these kits, and we’ve all enjoyed the results… in fact, one bite just wasn’t enough for a lot of us!
No complicated kit needed and incredibly easy to make, all you’ll need is 1.5kg of good quality minced meat and our kit to create approximately 20 perfectly piped sausages. Inside the box you’ll find 150g of seasoning mix, approx. 4m sausage casing, instructions and a grippy piping bag.

Very disappointing :-(” by Mrs barton
I purchased this kit to try out before I bought them as presents for our friends for christmas. Unfortunately it really didn't work. The piping bag comes without a nozzle, making it difficult to hold the skins in place whilst squeezing the bag. The skins split very easily rendering them useless, or just unravelled before they were fully filled. Also the amount of effort required to squeeze the sausagemeat through the bag was incredibly high, even for my husband. After an hour and a half we had three sausages and a kilo of unused sausagemeat. Everything else had to be thrown away.
A note from the team: We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed with the sausage making kit please take a look at at the video on the website. We do hope this helps.
Don't buy this” by Mr Evans
Please only buy this if you want an overpriced seasoning mix for meatloaf. Really disappointing results. Only managed to make two air-pocketed sausages with the poor quality sausage casings - the piping bag split as well which didn't help matters. Best just buy some sausages - particuarly since this requires 1.5kgs of meat and costs £8.99.
A note from the team: We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem. Please take a look at the video on the website. We hope this will help.
Kids Loved them” by Amanda
When i first tried to make the sausages it was a complete nightmare the skins kept splitting sausage meat everywhere finally i managed to make 6 reasonable sausages cooked them and the kids loved them so instead of throwing it all away i decided to keep trying it wasnt easy eventually i got the hang of it although i did have to stop and cut the casings and start again, the suasages looked a little deformed as my husband pointed out HOMEMADE .Dividing the casings into six sections or more makes it a little easier. I am now going to try the cumberland mix
