Silicone Baking Flexi-Sheet

I bought this specifically for making swiss rolls & roulades but this is not the tool for the job. Tray is too big, the edges of the cake burnt & needed trimming so couldn't be rolled up from tray. Might be ok for biscuits though - but bear in mind that you will need a large baking sheet to be able to use this - if you don't already own one might be better off getting one of the silicone coated trays instead.

As the tray is flexible we would always recommend placing it on a baking tray for added stability when taking in and out of the oven. Silicone Baking Flexi-Sheet

I have now made three swiss rolls in this thinking that it was me who was at fault but not one of them has turned out to be of any use. They either stick or do not cook fully in the centre because if you cook them longer to cook the centre the edges are over cooked and crisp, and there is no depth to the cake, because it is so shallow much shallower than a metal swiss roll tray

“Flexisheet very disappointing” by Steph

Silicone Baking Flexi-Sheet

I couldn't wait to use my new revolutionary product.- but oh dear! How disappointing- sheet too shallow so mixture came over the edge and if less mixture used roulade or swiss roll too thin. Each time I used them I sprayed them with oil but I still had trouble turning them out. I will go back to lining my old tins with parchment
