Silverwood Croquembouche Mould
Croquembouche, or ‘crunch in the mouth’, is a deliciously decadent, towering stack of vanilla cream-filled profiteroles bound together in a pyramid by a cobweb of caramel. Traditionally served at weddings in France, this mould from Silverwood lets you create a more sensibly sized stack, perfect for a dinner party and sure to have guests gasping in amazement. Anodised aluminium with an easy-clean, non-stick centre, it forms a cone around which the croquembouche can be built – 60 profiteroles will cover the cone but the sky's the limit!

“Fiddly to put together!
” by LaiSan
Silverwood Croquembouche Mould
I have been wanting to make a croquembouche forever and was very excited to see this in the latest catalogue. It comes in 3 parts - base, cone tip and a 'opened up' cone of semi-rigid non-stick liner. It's very fiddly to join the sides of the cone up and the instructions are not very clear to me (they seem to have been written for someone who is spatially aware!). My top tips to putting this together is either have someone help or get a couple of clothes pegs to hold the top and bottom of the cone together otherwise the slippery nature of the non-stick cone will be hard to manage!

“Sadly disappointed
” by Miss Udale
Silverwood Croquembouche Mould
I dont usually post reviews but I have to say I am really disappointed in my croquembouche mould from lakeland. The packaging is too small for the mould, the baking sheet was folded over and dented and although this wouldnt effect using the product, it did leave me feeling a bit disappointed in its quality. It is so fiddly to put together which isnt helped by the poor cutting on the baking sheet. It looks so simple in the video! My mould was damaged and also looks different to the pictures on the site. Happy with other items but feel I have wasted money on the mould.
A note from the team: Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'm sorry to hear that you'd been disappointed with the croquembouche, I'll be in touch shortly to help.

“Impressive!

Silverwood Croquembouche Mould
If you want to make a statement dessert then look no further. I found this kit quite easy to put together - a little fiddly getting all of the flaps in but it only took me a minute or so to do. The recipe provided was easy to follow and gave good results. I would recommend using silicone baking paper to bake the profiteroles on rather than greaseproof - I used both and the profiteroles stuck to the greaseproof. Also, when assembling the stack try to stick the profiteroles to each other rather than the base if you want to remove it before serving. My family were very impressed!
