difficult decanting - terrine” by Ann
So thrilled to find this in your shop but when trying to dismantle it, I realized that it would be virtually impossible to remove a delicate dessert such as a parfait or mousse. I have broken two nails and turned the air blue trying to remove the base. Surely the sides and ends should come down first, thus leaving the contents on the base when a palette knife could easily remove it.
A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. I'm sorry that the base is very tight, so I've passed your suggestion for improving the release mechanism to the buyer. I'll be in touch shortly to help.
The magic touch!” by Margaret
Could I just say that whenever I make a terrine, sweet or savoury. I fiirst line the tin with antibacterial clingfilm. The contents come out superbly with no bother or sticking.
Disappointing” by Mrs Ryan
I thought this was great value for money compared with other terrines out there, especially with a removable base and collapsable sides. However, it is extremely difficult to remove the base, and then to reassemble afterwards. If it is turned over to facilitate clipping the base evenly over 4 sides, the corner pins drop out so the sides collapse and you have to start all over again! Also, I'm disappointed that it has to be lined if you don't want it to leak. One point in its favour, though, it does make a professional looking terrine
A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry for the difficulty in using the terrine, and we'll contact you to help. The terrine does need to be lined. Cling film would be suitable for items that don't need baking, and parchment for items that do.
