Lovely chopping board, very sturdy & weighty. However the rim at the edge catches any crumbs which can be annoying when trying to dispose of them. Also, the board seems to retain any smells. We chopped an onion on it the other day and it still smells of it. We tried cleaning it with salt and lemon juice but this has still not helped.

To care for your board: wash by hand using a scouring pad or stiff nylon brush using an anti-bacterial washing up liquid and a small amount of warm water. Do not submerge the block. Add a small amount of bleach or vinegar to the water for extra bacteria killing power after chopping bacteria carrying foods such as raw chicken or rub the block with a half a lemon to kill the bacteria.Thoroughly dry the block after washing and periodically oil the block with mineral oil, this will preserve the life and condition of your chopping board.We hope this helps.
