I love this poacher because it's quick & hardly makes any mess whatsoever. It did take a bit of experimentation as my microwave was stronger than the default one on the instructions (mine is 950W). I now fill the cups about a quarter to a third full of water and do 30 secs on full power with the lid on. Then I crack in the eggs, replace the lid, and cook for 40 secs. Perfect cooked whites and soft, runny yolks. It's a good idea to let the eggs stand for 30 secs as well. Sometimes it looks as if the eggs aren't cooked, but it's just the way the water sits around them, and they are in fact done.
