Lakeland Microwave Crisp Maker
Potato crisps made in the microwave? We’ll admit to being a bit dubious to begin with, but when we heard they’re much healthier than standard crisps, requiring absolutely no oil or salt, we were willing to give them a try; following the communal crunch as we tasted the samples, we’re happy to declare ourselves completely converted!
Quick and so easy to make, just use the slicer lid to cut your peeled potato into the collection bowl, arrange the slices in the cooking rack and place in the microwave for just a few minutes before tucking in.
(Suitable only for potato crisps.)

Healthy Crisps - & Quick to Make.” by Susan
I bought this crisp maker to try my hand at making 'healthier' crisps and was pleasantly surprised with how good it is. We've made crisps with various flavourings i.e. chilli powder, cayenne pepper, ground salt and pepper etc. - tossing or sprinkling the crisps whilst 'wet' and before microwaving.
It is so easy and quick to use and gives you a small bowl full of crisps - just enough to accompany a ploughmans or sandwiches, and enough for two younger children. It's nice to know exactly what your crisps contain.
A note from the team: Thanks for your review. Please note that salt and seasoning should be added after microwaving (not before). Our buyer recommends popping the finished crisps in a freezer bag with your preferred seasoning and giving them a shake. Thanks for your feedback.
Interesting gadget” by Mrs Kronfeld
fsmailI found that this worked better if the crisps were well spaced on the rack. Better maybe with a bigger rack? I also found that though my microwave is rated 900, the crisps took 7 mins. No instructions at all with mine and I hadn't noticed that they were on the internet (but not everybody has internet access) I also think the note about seasoning should be with instructions not as a note from the team which might be missed.
A note from the team: Thanks for placing your review. The instructions are now on the packaging, so I think new customers will not have the problems you faced. The cooking time will depend on the water content of the potatoes and the power of the microwave. The average time is 4.5-5 minutes.
Microwave crisp maker” by Ms Egan
This is an amazing gadget- I am addicted to crisps but want to eat healthy and lose weight. It actually works. No fat and no salt creates crispy crisps! It takes longer in my microwave than instructions- I do 3mins 30 secs about 3 times and results are amazing. My daughter loves them too.
