Lakeland Slow Cooking Book

I was given this book as a present from my sister after buying a slow cooker. We have 3 children (12, 10 and 9), this book has provided us with such a variety of very family friendly meals that are practical to sort out mid week and are ready for us when we all come home in the evenings. Our favourites are the Old fashioned curried sausages and the self saucing chocolate cake. We made this cake today out of curiosity- it got 10/10 from all of us. Definitely a great book for a family, we are sorted for mid week meals forever now. Well done Lakeland.

Lakeland Slow Cooking Book

I have been given a Lakeland Slow Cooker for Christmas so bought the exclusive Lakeland book to go with it. However, the book is not designed to go only with the Lakeland Cooker (as I had assumed would be the case), as it is written for a 4.5 litre cooker, rather than the 3.5 litre one I have. The recipes are aimed at 4,6 or 8 people, rather than the 4 the cooker refers to, and there is no mention of the Auto cooking setting that the cooker has.
There is a variety of recipes and I am sure that I will be able to adapt the quantities although it is annoying that this is necessary.
