Lakeland Electric Cupcake Maker Blue

The cakes are dry with a poor texture and consistency. Thinking it may be me I asked my daughter to bake a couple of batches using a different mixer etc., unfortunately she had the same results. So its back to the oven for us.

Lakeland Electric Cupcake Maker Blue

Excellent little machine! Takes no longer than 10 mins to pop out lovely little cupcakes. Note that the recipe that comes in the pack is quite greasy and leaves little pools of oil in the bottom, so avoid that one if you can. Otherwise easy to clean and maintain, and great little kitchen gadget.

I have just received one of these as a gift and was a bit dubious about it as I am coeliac and have had little success with cakes. I followed the recipe for chocolate cakes using gluten free flour and baking powder and I am delighted and amazed with the results. A batch is so quick and easy to make and cleaning is a breeze if you use the silicone cases. I followed another user's tip and filled the cases before putting them into the machine. This is a great machine which gives fabulous results in 10 minutes! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks Lakeland

No matter how I follow the receipes to the letter I cannot seem to get a decent cupcake, they always turn out very heavy, I've gone back to using my oven.

Was slightly worried about buying this as I had read some negative reviews. But have tried this twice and very pleased with the results. Professional standard cupcakes. Can only think that people that have had problems have a faulty machine as my machine has done exactly as promised.

Lakeland Electric Cupcake Maker Blue

I was apprehensive after all the negative reviews but this machine is wonderful. I use silicon cases and then transfer the buns to paper cases once cooled. I bake each batch for between 10 and 12 minutes. It helps to fill the cases before putting them in the machine as less heat is then lost. Perfect results each time. Much fluffier and lighter buns than when I bake in my rayburn and uses so much less energy. I can't keep up with the demand now! I would have preferred a cream coloured machine and a longer flex but these are just small niggles. Otherwise top marks!

A little bit pale on top, but when iced or chocolate covered, look good. the cupcakes are light and yummy, and every batch comes out the same texture. Family was impressed with my baking. not a cake left out of 18. I found it easier to fill the mixture into the cupcake case and then placing in the cup holders in the machine, it works brilliantly with the silicone pastel cupcake cases.

I have to admit that at first I was pretty dubious about it, I received it as a birthday gift. However after seeing the first batch come out I am hooked. Beautiful, golden brown, well risen, light cupcakes that taste scrummy using either a packet mix or my. The beauty of it really is the convenience. I prepare the cake batter whilst the machine heats up, put in the mix and 8 mins later they’re ready. I find it more reliable than my oven and because the heat is on both sides the rise of the cake is brilliant. Its easy to clean, small enough to store and looks pretty too! Love it so much!!

Great little machine. I can have petite fois scones and choc sponge with a dash of choc spread anytime without an oven. I only have to make 3 at a time, so there is not waste or drying out of the sponge, use with your cake tester probe and life is simples as the meercat says from Rus. No polonium 210 in our cakes says Boris.
