A great investment, the knives speak for themselves, and the block, with its stainless steel top, isn't just designed to look fantastic, but to keep the blades in perfect condition too. Each knife slot is home to a powerful integral magnet, and as you slide the knife in or out, the back edge of the blade is pulled towards it, keeping the cutting edge away from the inside of the block and preventing any damage.
Knives of this calibre deserve to be cared for; sharpening little and often is the best way to do this, and the built-insharpener has a fool-proof ceramic honing wheel – a few gentle strokes back and forth will keep the blades in optimal condition.

“Expensive........but worth it

I spent along time deciding whether to buy these knives, as they are so expensive. I am very,very pleased with my knives, after years of buying cheap knives & struggling to use them, these new knives are a dream to use. I cannot stress how light they are to hold, cut through carrots with great ease. I do recommend that you wash them by hand as it does state you can put them in the dishwasher, however as stated in the instructions they are not stain proof. What is worth remembering is that they make such light work of cutting tough foods, remember they are really sharp so be careful.

Robert Welch Signature Knife Block
Like the other review left on these knives I have been looking around for a set of knives for a while. I am a Lakeland addict so when I saw these in the catalogue, I was tempted. I popped into my local store so I could have a look at them & hold them etc. They felt lovely, Very sturdy blade. I took them home & couldn't wait to use them. I cut carrots & potatoes even swede with ease. Chopping fresh chicken felt like no effort at all. I would highly recommend these knives. They seem expensive but if you enjoy cooking these are a must have! I would recommend hand washing these knives though.

Love these knives!!!!! After looking at this knife set for weeks I took the plunge and bought them. They are just fabulous, I just keep cooking so I can use them, they cut everything with such ease and look so great on the worktop.Expensive but so worth it. Thank you Lakeland.
