Our Buyers first heard of a new, pure silicone non-stick surface being developed by Teflon® almost a year ago, and knew straight away it was exactly the kind of innovation we thrive on. So we joined forces, and Lakeland is now very proud to introduce Bakingenius - a range of silicone-coated bakeware that gives new meaning to non-stick.
What do you get if you cross a raw egg straight from the fridge with a non-greased, just-out-of-the-oven baking sheet, and then just for good measure put them into a hot oven for 10 minutes? A cooking catastrophe; a dishwashing disaster?
We watched in horror as Veronica, one of our Buyers, did just that with the Bakingenius Baking Sheet. But then, as she tipped the tray up, gave the egg a bit of a nudge and we watched it slip off... well, let's just say our flabbers were well and truly gasted! Even more so when the tray came up good as new with just a quick run under the tap and a light rub with a washing-up brush.

“Not impressed at all

Bought this and a shallower tray. Both worked well for maybe half a dozen cooking sessions but then stuff started to stick to it. Anything and everything sticks. Like the best glue you've ever seen. And, because you can't use abrasives you never get it off again. Over the years I've used many different brands. This BakingGenius stuff is without doubt the worst of the lot. Avoid it at all costs. Anything else (including completely untreated stainless steel) better. I've only given it one star as they don't offer the option of no stars.

“Disappointed

After a few months use, the non stick coating has started coming off and the tin is incredibly difficult to clean.

“Fantastic product

I bought this in the summer as i was cooking for a young people's activity week. It was certainly put through its paces being used for such recipes as Lasagne and Toad-in -the-Hole. I couldn't believe how easy it was to clean! Talk about making life easier... I would certainly recommend these products to anyone.
