“The only baking book you need.

This book is great for experienced and novice bakers. The information about baking equipment is very useful, Mary lists all the cake tins she uses. There is nothing worse than wanting to make something only to find that you don't have the right tin. I like the way she gives alternatives to classic bakes. The book is just full of lovely recipes. I can't wait to make some of the Traybakes, and there is even a chapter on cooking with children.

Mary Berry has long been a favourite in our household. She was a Household Goddess when Nigella was a glimmer in her father's eye. Mary's recipe for meringues is the only one I use - so easy and so good! If you don't have this book in your collection buy one NOW!

I have long been a fan of Mary Berry and this book didn't disappoint. Full of recipes that you really want to make - with a picture for each one. The boiled fruit cake is absolutely delicious!
