“Utterly rubbish & a waste of money
” by Alison
Bought this on Saturday before heading back to the allotment to harvest our runner beans...
Beans get stuck, snap off half way through the slicer, hardly any of them went through without significant intervention - and ended up chopping them by hand.
No idea what the little plunger is for - as we never had the chance to use it.
I doubt this slicer will see the light of day again - in fact I've already had to retrieve it from the bin just to make sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong... it's just a rubbish gadget.
A note from the team: Thanks for your review, I'm sorry to learn of the problems you'd had I'll be in touch shortly.

“super slicer!
” by Mrs Duffield
I was a bit dubious about how effective this would be, being so small. I used it for the first time tonight on the beans from the garden. It was fantasic! It took so little time and the beans were all uniform size. It coped well with my larger beans. The blade was sharp so once the bean was through I could pull it from the other side without the bean snapping. I did a huge pile and only used the knife to cut the beans into shorter slices. I did get one bean stuck which would propably have been stringy as the bean seeds inside were huge. I was able to use the plastic head to get it all out. I did find the handle a little short to comfortably push with but as it was only once and the actual slicer is so effective I don't see it as a major drawback. 5 stars... a great design!
