A note from the team: Thanks for the review. I'm sorry to hear of the problem you've had I'll be in touch shortly. Hints & tips - wash the paella pan before use and season as instructed. Make sure the pan is always dried thoroughly after use and apply a light coating of oil to help avoid possible rusting.
“Great Value for Money
”

Don't buy this if you like your pans to stay pristine and shiny but do buy it if you want a solid, well-made, authentic paella pan. Perfect size for 4 - 5 people. As reviewer Angela said, have patience and label comes off fine (I soaked and used plastic pot scraper), season before use and oil after washing to sort out any rust spots. It cooks beautifully, handles don't get hot and, once seasoned, nothing sticks - a bargain at this price.

“paella pan
”

After looking for some time for a paella pan was pleased when I found one in Lakeland, I have used it a couple of times (second time the rice stuck to the pan) only find when I went to use it again the pan had gone rusty, I am very dissapointed with this pan as it is an ideal size for my family of 5.

“So disappointed
”
by Mrs Sandra Black
I had no problem with the labels just took my time so I thought I would have no problem following the instructions for preparing the pan. Not so, even though I did exactly as it said all I got was a burnt & wobbly pan and my husband kept complaining about the burnt smell in the kitchen. Now I just want to know if I can return it to one of the shops even though I bought it online?

“So far so good!
”
by Kris Henley
I have made several paellas so far with my new pan, and have been really pleased with the results! It was quite unsettling when first 'seasoning' the pan according to the instructions, as it went black! However, Lakeland staff assured me this was natural. It was a great price, too. I would agree about the stickers, which had to be removed with a sticker-removing chemical as they were practically welded on! Leaving them loose inside the packaging with a paella recipe too is a great idea.

“Paella Patience
”
by Lesley Southworth
It took me ten careful minutes to remove the sticky labels, which came away without leaving any residue. Seasoning the pan was easy and I wonder if previous reviewers are confusing the slight colouring from this with rust? Anyway the seasoned pan is dutifully waiting for its first paella outing. However, I would suggest that instead of putting the instructions on a sticky label that they are printed on a piece of paper, which is put inside the pan. Maybe with an authentic recipe on the reverse. As the pan arrived sealed in plastic the label would be safe and could then be kept for future reference. As a long standing customer of Lakeland I'm not expecting any problems with using one of their products. The pan itself feels solid, fit for purpose and looks like the ones I've seen in Spain. So five stars it is.

“Authentic, a must have in any Kitchen!
”
by Angela
I must totally disagree with the previous reviews. I actually read these before making my purchase and disregarded them! As a someone who has been using paella pans from Spain for over 20 years I am impressed with the Lakeland product. It's a genuine paella dish and is exactly the same as the one I first bought in Valencia. I've had no issues with the stickers, as with all products you must take your time and remove these slowly and they come away without leaving any residue. Also paella pans will go rusty if you fail to oil them, the same way a traditional wok will too. My advice to anyone buying this is if you love paella then this is a very worth while investment and will cater for 4 people easily. It will require some love with a bit of oil once it has been washed but it keeps as good as new and should last for years! I've never seen a non stick paella dish in Spain. If your a fan of easy clean, non stick and a bit of elbow grease then this product is not for you.

I could not remove labels and it went rusty after wash. I have thrown it away (used once) have come on here to see if you do a better quality pan. Alas have been let down Lakeland. We want a non stick, dishwasher safe pan please. have rated one star only because there was not a 0 star!!

I ordered one of these and suffered the same problem as the other reviewer with labels not coming off; soaking just resulted in a rusty pan. Lakeland were very responsive and sent a second pan, plus a free bottle of sticky label remover. My partner has spent over an hour tonight removing both labels, only to find that the inside of the pan had rusted in the time it took him to get the underside label off! he scrubbed it as clean as possible, then followed the seasoning instructions to the letter. Result? Pan is now both rusty and burnt. Not an impressive product...and I'm only giving it the one star rating because the website won't accept anything less!
