“great but not for cakes

This set is extremely well made and would no doubt do a grand job of injecting into meat to tenderise it but I bought it with the idea of feeding the Christmas cakes. Unfortunately the nozzle gets bunged up with the cake mix and so the liquor does not pump out easily! Even poking a pilot hole in the cake first with a skewer the nozzled still bungs up. It is also not easy to see how much fluid is going in and I ended up with parts of the cake very tipsy and other part with hardly any - but couldn't tell until the taste test! It is a lovely solid injector with two different size nozzles but not the answer for the annual 'feeding'; best use a small skewer to poke a hole and then use a small 5ml medicine type syringe (i.e. no needle) which is easy to see how much is being administered. How about making up a kit for us as it is not always easy to get hold of small diameter skewers and small syringes!

I used the Flavour Injector without the 'needle' to draw the crosses on the Hot Cross Buns I made this year... a bit of fiddle to load the paste but the results were accurate and most effective - cleaned up easily afterwards too

“Disappointing

I bought this to feed my xmas cake but find that the nozzle gets blocked up so renders it totally useless for this job. I see a previous reviewer has also found this. Waste of money for me as I can't see me using this for any other job.
