I've been looking for something like this for a long time as I make a lot of pastries and biscuits. The 3 spacers roll out to 2, 6 and 10 mm thick - pity there isn't an 4 mm which is the thickness I would use most. The rolling pin could be a little wider and I would prefer to have a smooth surface to the rolling pin rather than the maker's name and a measuring guide.

“Could be better

Having asked for this for a present I was very keen to try it out for all the marzipan and sugarpaste I use for my individual christmas cakes. The name and measuring scale being embossed on the icing however is not the desired effect! I did find that if you use a lot of pressure it is possible to get a smooth surface but the drawback is that one end tends to unscrew itself and I found myself constantly having to tighten it. Having made a lot of cakes (over 600 little ones) I had hoped that this would be a bit of a timesaver - it is good for ensuring my icing is the same thickness every time but I would prefer not to have the manufacturer's name on every piece of icing I roll.

I bought this rolling pin on a professional basis as I wanted all my items to be uniform thickness. It is brilliant. My biscuits are now all perfect and look very professional. My only criticism is that there should be more thickness options. I could do with a 4mm spacer as well.
