Cuisinart® Soup Maker

I honestly couldn't see why my mother wanted one of these so badly. After all, how hard can it be to cook a soup in a pan and then whizz it? But I have to say, having given her one for Christmas, it's been more than a success. She makes soups almost daily and as ridiculous as this sounds, they are more delicious than any she has made before. Not sure whether it's the intensity with which the basic ingredients are fried first or perhaps the way they're cooked in the lidded jug, keeping flavours in but whatever the reason she's thrilled and loves the fact it's all in one. A huge success.

This is superb at making wonderful soup. HOWEVER, I am terribly disappoinyed that the glass jug is not removable from the base so that it can be properly washed. However much I fill it with water and whizz it it doesn't clean as well as in the sink. I still have to finish it off over the sink. I also find the frying action causes sticking and prefer just putting everything in and boiling, then simmering then blending. It makes lovely soup very quickly. Still disappointed about the jug though! hence only 3 stars

Cuisinart® Soup Maker

Purchased this recently. Absolutely no problems. Came in today & in 30 minutes had piping hot delicious mushroom soup for lunch. I would never have believed just how easy this is to use and it really does do everything it says & all in one goblet with no mess or loads of pans to wash. We regularly have home made soup now & my husband loves it. Just remember to follow the instructions & you will have no problems with food sticking to hot plate and only fill to 1.4 ltrs as advised & you won't get soup flying out when blending. I would recommend it to anyone

Cuisinart® Soup Maker

This is the best way to make homemade soup,it is so easy... all done in just 30 mins. Fantastic nutritional soup, great way to use up any leftover vegetables and meat. I read all the reviews prior to purchasing this item and since using this product I cannot understand the negative comments re cleaning. It's so simple. Rinse straight away, put washing up liquid in it, simmer for 2 mins, then blend for 1 min. It's all in the instructions. Simples!

Having purchased one a few months ago my daughter borrowed it to make soups for her young family and for her to take nutritious soups for herself to work. Having loved it so much she held it to ransom and so I have just had to buy another.

Cuisinart® Soup Maker

I have found this product to be excellent, really good quality and they really seem to have thought of everything, I love the glass jug that makes it so much easier to clean and the fact that it heats up so fast, making cooking speedier. I have had no problems with food sticking - I always pour a little olive oil into the jug and then heat it on Low for two minutes before adding my onions/garlic or whatever is the base ingredient in my soup. I also rinse it out straight away after pouring the freshly made soup out. A brilliant product and would thoroughly recommend it.

Cuisinart® Soup Maker

We purchased this soup maker last year shortly after my husbands return home from hospital. He was diagnosed with mouth cancer & underwent extensive surgery to reconstruct his tongue and radio. Needless to say eating was incredibly difficult for him. The Soup Maker was so simple to use even my children could make their Dad a hearty bowl of soup. We tried many recipes & all loved the Broccoli & Stilton one. We could add as many fresh ingredients as we wanted to help him get all the correct nutrients to help his recovery. This is NOT one of those gadgets that gathers dust on your worktop !!

Cuisinart® Soup Maker

I received this as a birthday present and am extreemly pleased with it so far. I did however burn some onions, which was entirely my own fault. The burn did stick, however I managed to remove it without need to scrub and damage the bottom. firstly I set it on hot to dry it, this removed some of the debris, I then put a small amount of water in the bottom, put it on to boil again, then I turned the blender on for a minute, I found all the debris came off. The general washing of it is a breeze, just dont overfill it, and to reach the top of the jug just increase the speed of the blender!
