I love this piece of kitchen equipment - I did lots of research before deciding on this one and I haven't been at all disappointed. The soup is brilliant and I have to say it came into it's own when making soup for our Lent Lunches. I know it may seem a bit pricey but, like all things, you get what you pay for. Love the Cuisinart range!

Souper.( super soup maker )”
I have had this for over a year now and have found it to be a great buy, and wouldn't be without it. Forget tins of soup just buy one of these and have healthy soup made in no time.

leek and potato last week, sweet potato and red pepper soup this week! Fantastic machine, easy to follow recipes, wouldn't hesitate to recommended this product. The only down side I suppose is I would rather have had more soup recipes in the book.

Well done Cuisinart..

My new soup maker”
by Mrs Bell
Where to start, I got the soup maker for Xmas and I love it. It makes beautiful soup in no time at all, hassle free and the soup is piping hot when done. People who say it's not, must be doing something wrong. And cleaning is very easy, not a problem at all using the self clean if you read the instructions it's easy. This is a fantastic machine and am well pleased with it and have made lots of tasty fresh soups, better than tinned and healthy. Would definately recommend this to friends

will keep trying”
A gift and hoped/hoping as useful as my breadmaker. It is heavy. A huge shame the glass jar does not detach for cleaning. Take water to the jar as there is the electrical work underneath! Awkward to taste as cooking. Simmer does not cook the soup. The cooking plate is tiny and so does not brown or fry but steam. The stir will chop your food further. Will persist as reviews for others are glowing. More detail and advice about stock volumes/vegetables would be welcomed. Three stars given as i am hopeful it will improve with practice. But soup thin and veg not cooked.

A note from the team: For each function the heat control is important to bear in mind. After having set the time, press the desired heat control. There are 3 possible setting but these two will help with the points you've raised. Simmer: up to 80°C - use to simmer soups and liquids Low: up to 90°C - use to brown base ingredients When making soups we don't recommend exceeding 1.4L as the ingredients need a little space to move and you want to avoid any mess caused by overfilling. If you want to achieve a thicker consistency for your recipe, instead of using speeds 1-4, blend using the pulse function for total control. Turn the dial to ‘Pulse’ and continue to pulse to the desired consistency. We hope this information helps.
Used this for the first time today and made the Scotch Broth. So easy to set up and use and so easy to clean. The recipe was delicious although I had to substitute swede for turnip. I love my new kitchen gadget. We are having Sweet Potato and Pepper tomorrow and the extras are great too so two portions in the freezer for next week.

We used to have the French equivalent of this, but the motor burned-out. The Cuisinart model seems much more durable. We had an issue with the glass jug, however, when a light tap on the kitchen tap-stand whilst cleaning caused a split in the glass. Lakeland kindly replaced it when it was brought to their attention. Best advice: handle with care. I have noted other commentators comments regarding cleaning issues, and yes, it would be improved if the blender unit was detachable. I don't find it necessary to whizz it up with a jug full of soapy water to get it clean however.

Worth every penny”
by Mrs Hunt
I initially bought a different, cheaper soup maker (not from Lakeland) as this was too expensive for me. But that one only lasted 2 weeks. So when this was reduced in price I bought this one and the difference in quality is amazing. The Cuisinart Soup Maker is worth every penny (of the reduced price). We have made so many different soups eg tomato & red pepper, carrot, Sunday dinner soup (left over veggies) and everyone of them have been absolutely delicious. The Cruisinart is now a permanent fixture on the kitchen worktop, it is way too busy to go in a cupboard.

Cuisinart Soup maker”
by Mrs Chittenden
I was very pleased with my soup maker, however, just after the guarantee ran out it stopped working. I would have thought for the price I paid for it. it should have lasted a lot longer. I wouldn't recommend this product on this basis.

Great when it works”
by Wendy Cox
Initially I loved this product but it is just too unreliable. Lakeland have replaced mine three times! Their service has been second to none. Last night I was making a pasta sauce and the machine just stopped working yet again and I had to transfer to a saucepan. I give up, I will look around for a reliable alternative.

Just love it”
I recently purchased this soup maker then did wonder if it was the wrong time of year to do so (May) I need not have worried, I just love it and have been using it regularly since I bought it. I have made loads of different soups, my favourite being the tomato and red pepper one I concocted. My husband now has a cup of soup most days with his sandwiches at lunch time and I have a lovely cup of home made soup if I feel peckish. I find it extremely easy to clean by following the self clean instructions. I just wish I had purchased one sooner

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas, as she works shifts and I thought it would be quick & easy for her to make a healthy meal, no matter how tired she was. We tried it twice whilst she was home and were so impressed, I'm now going to order one for myself.

Should be five star”

The most impressive piece of equipment I have purchased. I am most surprised that the product does not have five stars just like your incredible service

agree with others - Washing up is a nightmare. Blades are sharp and no matter how many cycles I try it still looks dirty - it should come with a free cleaning stick/thingy. It is VERY heavy - pouring is difficult! Veg does not cook at all in the alloted time. Lowest setting is barely on - does hardly anything. Middle setting has periods of enthusiastic boiling then it goes off. Frying is a bit pointless as the base is almost too small to make a difference. I did make chicken soup and it was lovely, but the minestrone I tried had hard lumps of carrot, celery, onion. pasta got mangled.

waste of money”
by anne duff
Having had a less expensive soup maker from Lakeland which was fantastic, and used daily, when it stopped working as the model was no longer continued, bought this soup maker. I really don't like it. It is bulky, and takes up a tonne of space, the simmer and low boil, barely do either, so I keep having to switch on the high boil, unless I want it to take all day. The frying action is poor, washing up and reassembling is like crypton factor. Its been consigned to the utility room. Worst piece of kitchen kit ever bought. I trained and worked in catering originally. Very expensive waste of money.

Super Soup Maker”
1st class, love this product. I have homemade soup all week long now. This Cuisinart soup maker takes the hardwork out of making soup and washing up pans and bowls afterwards. Would highly recommend this product.

We bought the Cuisinart soup maker in October since then it has been put through its soup making paces. Used nearly every day it has never failed to produce the goods. We have had several cheaper models in the past each have performed well but did not last the test of time. Hence the delay in our review. So 1) it is an expensive item 2) the jug is heavy but it is a quality item and we believe worth the investment. If you are serious about your soup then maybe you should think about this model.
