I recently bought this product after seeing one on a shopping channel and it is fabulous. I used to have a similar plastic one that needed a lot of pressure applied to peel potatoes. The first time I used this I applied the same pressure and nearly sliced my fingers off. It only needs holding very gently as it is so sharp and the peel just seems to glide off, whatever you are peeling. I have peeled 2 very soft pears with it and was amazed at how easily it did it. I do however seem to have a problem with the mandoline - I cannot seem to get slices as the blade does not seem to come above the mandoline. I just end up with mush and not slices, no matter what I try to slice. I have grazed my fingers trying. My husband has also tried without success and told me to take it back to the store but there is no way I am letting go of this peeler.

A brilliant peeler - and then add the slicing attachment and it just gets better. Easy to use, you can't go wrong.

I must say I nearly didn't buy it as I thought it was really over priced for a peeler but the slicing attachment got the better of me.
Found the slicing attachment ok, but only really useful preparing the vegs for stir fries etc...
Would not have brought the slicing attachment if it was separate.
This is the best peeler I have ever used and love it.
This is not a last 6 month peeler but a lifetime one.
This is not overpriced this is a peeler for life!!
