“Waste of time and effort

I was really looking forward to getting this product as I do a fair amount of baking but always end up throwing away unused eggwash.
The first time that I used it the top seemed very unstable and all I got was a squirt rather than a spray and after that nothing comes out at all. If you take the top off the liquid seems to be seeping out really slowly.
All in all I am disappointed but am sure that Lakeland will soon solve the problem and have things back to their usual high standards.
A note from the team: Thanks for your review. Following feedback from our customers we've tested the Ovo egg glaze spray and found that the nozzle should be pressed down firmly and continuously to ensure a fine, even spray. Please also shake before use, hold approximately 40cm from pastry while spraying and wash nozzle separately after use. We'll be in touch to help.

“Amazing product

I am baker by profession and this is one of the best new products i have come accross. If you are only getting a jet of liquid it is because you aren't squeezing the nozzle hard enough. It's super quick and i can spray 100 sausage rolls in about 20 seconds instead of the usual 5 mins! I have just ordered another 10 cans in case i run out!

I was quite surprised to read the other reviews of this product. I have to say I'm more than happy with mine. It does what it should and gives a lovely glaze, thought you do have to be 'confident' when spraying. If you're a bit half-hearted then it will tend to come out in a single jet. This is the second time I've bought this product, and my only adverse comment would be that the can lid (not the nozzle, but the lid itself) doesn't click into place as it did on the first can. But apart from that, it's a great product.
