“Tala Icing Bag Set

Despite some negative reviews I purchased this and another separate star nozzle and I've not been disappointed in any way by this set, the bag is well made and hardwearing and you'd have to pay a lot more if you bought it all separately! A good investment in my opinion

“Terrrible
”

I bought this as it looked like a decent set and the tin was what caught my eye, although I threw it away. Gave it a go today and the icing comes out through the seams and the tips are too small. Absolutely terrible, I expected much better. If I had my receipt this would have gone back- complete waste of money. Not recommended at all.

“Would not recommend

Unfortunately the bag is not a good fit for the nozzles - my icing squeezed out everywhere making a terrible mess.

“give and take

i got this as my first piping bag and was slightly dissapionted at how small the nozzles were and that i couldn't get a good cupcke swirl and that it was SO hard to squeze out! my hand was shaking after the first cupcake and yet i was still dissapointed for the result. i suppose this item is good for small decorations and for changing the nozzle without removing it from the inside of the bag but this is not good for small children as a starter kit and it's so hard to clean!

“Dont waste your time or money
”

Bought this 6 days ago and the bag has split on its first and only use. I've used many piping sets before so the pressure I was using was fine maybe it was made on a friday afternoon who knows but not what was expected from a Lakeland product.

I'm disappointed with this product as the piping nozzle fell out of the end of the bag and deposited a pile of cream all over the cake. Will not use again.

“Tala Icing set

This is the first negative thing I have ever had about Lakeland products but it is so bad I thought I would share my experience. Having recently bought this set I tried it out yesterday, hopeless.... The bag is so stiff to use and cleaning very difficult. The force needed to actually expell the icing was ridiculous, and no I wasnt using cement! Total waste of money, apart from the pretty tin. Will not be using again. Back to the plastic icing bags for me.

A good little icing set which has a lovely tin to store it away in. The instruction booklet is very helpful too. I find it easy to use and easy to clean too. A must for mums who like to bake!

“Not happy with this product

Was given this as a present after I chose it in Lakeland. Was so looking forward to using it. It ices fine, does what it says, but cleaning it is a nightmare! I have scrubbed and washed it so well, inside and out, in very hot water so many times, but it just will not get clean and is left with a horrid smell which just stays. I honestly couldn't have scrubbed it any better and yet the smell remains. Very disappointed.

“All Iced up

After finally mastering how to make fluffy cupcakes I then wanted to decorate them. As a beginner to piping the maze of nozzles seemed bewildering so this pack seemed perfect, with its assortment of nozzels, all contained in a neat box, with piping bag and instructions inside. I soon was disappointed, as it was hard to fill with buttercream, and worse when I started to pipe the nozzle fell off! After trying several times, it still kept falling off. The bag is very slippy inside and the nozzle does not attach firmly enough. It is also hard to clean, and I was really disappointed.

“Disappointed twice
”

This was my second set as the first one burst at the seams which was replaced but the same happened again. I am finding it very difficult to find an icing bag that can cope with butter icing for cup cakes.

“tala bag performance

Purchased this bag last year and overlooked where it had been placed. Whilst spring cleaning discovered it in a little used drawer!!!! Used the bag for the first time but the fabric was so rigid, I had to exert extreme pressure to squeeze the contents out, resulting in the nozzle popping off. a very disappointing product, will not use it again

“Absolute rubbish

I bought this as I was making cupcakes for the royal wedding. Literally on the squeeze the bag split and when holding my finger over the split to stop the icing oozing out it then split in 2 more places. I wasn't using any more pressure than reasonable neccesary to squeeze icing out. Also if u screw the plastic ring on fairly tight it actually goes completely over the nozel and the nozel falls off! its either that or have the ring loose, which is a bit pointless as that ring is there to secure the nozel. It's a real shame as the tin is lovely.

“Good for beginners
”

I was given this set as I was wanting something to begin using while I learn about cake and cookie decoration. I have been very pleased with the results so far. My only gripe is that the bag has become stained and looks dirty now even though I know it is clean. My favourite feature of this set is that the bag doesn't leak onto my hands like traditional cloth bags do.

“Very Dissapointed
”

I was given this as a present for Christmas but only just got round to using it for the first time. It's really easy to use & wash but the second time I went to screw on the plastic ring to hold the nozzle in place it broke :( it would be much better if it was made out of something a bit sturdier.

“Bag a let down
”

Good quality nozzles with this set, but to be honest, I feel we're paying for the name and the nice tin. The bag is pretty awful to clean properly and gets very stiff. I've been using this for a couple of months now, but the bag has to go.

“Tala bag broken

I have used my Tala icing set a few times now and was quite happy with it. Unfortunately when I was cleaning it yesterday the plastic part that was attached to the end of the icing bag just broke off. I was cleaning it exactly how I usually do so was quite disappointed with the quality of the product as other Tala products I have are very high standard.

“dissapointed

having used this twice I was very impressed, as a total beginner to cake decorating, it was easy to use and the instructions simple to follow. Unfortunately whilst using it for the third time, the bag split and is now completely usless as it wont hold the nozzles in place. very dissapointed as all product I buy from lakeland (and I buy a lot!!) are usually fantastic

“Disappointing results

I was bought this as a christmas present and after two tries have given up. I wanted to ice cup-cakes but the nozzles are too small, you get a better result with a knife. The icing goes very runny and squirts out of the bag in a dollop. it is a pretty tin but unfortunately stays in the cupboard.

“Shame about the bag!

I'd heard great things about Tala products so was looking forward to using this set - on its third outing however, the bag burst which was really annoying as we were right in the middle of icing cakes for our school fayre!! The set itself is good but the bag was very disappointing.
